Basically the game itself is great, new units, races, mechanics, siege rework, a lot of effort went into this game and I appreciate it.

BUT, the campaign sucks balls,

I'm a long time fan, I have hundreds if not thousands of hours in Total War games, specially WH2.

That said, the campaign in WH3 makes no sense, collecting demon souls gives you NO reward and winning the final battle only gets you a... not so great reward (spoiler ------- It's a demon lord with a crappy progresion tree).

You are better off traveling to chaos realms to get the other rewards but then you fall behind in the race and now you have to camp the spot of the final battle so the AI doesnt win, yay.

It's weird because completing the objectives feels punishing, specially by the end when the portals stay open until you defeat the final battle. While all the "fun" stuff gets you further away from actually winning the campaign.

Mortal Empires DLC is probably going to be great, but right now, after one full campaign, I don't feel like touching the game anymore, which is weird, because even the vortex campaign in WH2 had some appeal after a couple tries.

Obviously there are plenty of bugs and issues but I expected as much, my main issue is the campaign itself, I don't play multiplayer so, just gotta wait for Mortal Empires I guess.

Also Miao Ying doesn't have a quest battle :(

UPDATE: 297 hours in, Mortal Empires is bugged as hell, 9/10, do not buy

This was my first Souls game, I never played Dark Souls, bloodborne, or any of those games.

I only played the base game.

I HATED EVERY SECOND for the first 20-30 hours, it was pain, I died, I suffered.

This game doesn't teach you much, I didn't know which stats to upgrade, which items were best, luckily I had twitch chat helping me out, otherwise I would of been absolutely lost. Also most of the story is in item descriptions and honestly I didn't understand much of it.

Supposedly there were "quests" in the game but I didn't see any or I guess I skipped them lmao.

Slowly, REALLY SLOWLY, as I played, I learned enemy's patterns, I learned about opening pathways so you can skip sections, I learned to roll, I died, still, I died a lot, but less often.

Eventually, something clicked in me, I started to see the mobs attacks pattern, I learned to attack and dodge, I'm still greedy and try to get more shots in than what I should, but I do it WAY less often than I did in the beginning.

This game is very unforgiving, it has a steep learning curve, but also, it feel very rewarding when you finally beat a hard boss or an annoying mob.

9/10, I HATED this game, but also, I loved it.

I just played DOOM (2016) for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was a blast.

I got DOOM Eternal during the Autumn Sale since the deluxe edition was the same price as the season pass by itself, and oh boy...

The first few missions I was underwhelmed and felt like the 2016 version was better, but then, this game shows it's true form.

It's DOOM, but better, the same frenetic combat with insane demons, awesome metal music and amazing shooting, but the new mechanics add a new layer to the combat and the levels, finding secrets is much easier (specially with runes) and feels very satisfying.

The game is challenging, fun and honestly addicting, I enjoyed the story although some people say it's not very elaborated, I personally thought it was fun, it's just a reason to kill demons and that's perfectly fine by me. Also, exploring the "base" you have was cool, I liked doom guy's room.

I just completed the campaign after 21 hours, I'm for sure going to play the DLC content and the new harder version of the missions.

Cool game. 9/10, too much doom.

I thought I didn't like these kind of games, that they were scary and one-dimensional.

...

I couldn't have been more wrong, this game is amazing, definitely buy it and try it out, nothing like smashing some demons in the most brutal ways possible with metal music playing loudly.

I will get DOOM Eternal when I get a chance, I can't believe it took me so long to try this game.

9/10, the first few levels weren't as great, the rest is gold.
