In short, the online experience is not enjoyable for both veteran and beginner players. There are way too many moves that a person has to worry about. The higher the number of moves, the more unbalanced a fighting game becomes. It is also an anxiety inducing game.

If your age is above 30 and you have a job, please purchase a game that will help you relax. This game can actually cause health problems.

Update: I played a bit more and even have a video about it. Most people online are saying that players will need to adapt to the new Tekken mechanics. The problem is that with the game being so unpredictable and complex, it requires a lot of dedication and willpower to adapt to every situation. It is almost impossible for casual players to have fun online. The offline is too easy, even on the hardest settings, and the online is way too difficult. The game was intentionally designed to help newer players, but it has become a 'guess the game' as a result of it. Many moves now jail on block, and you literally have to guess the next move.

Due to the very small health bar, one launch can change the outcome of the match. You can tell by the design that the game was designed to make it fun to watch, which is probably required for the company to do good business with the game. However, it seems like the experience of playing the game has suffered as a result.

The worst turn based strategy game that i have ever played. Plus no punishment for hackers and no anti-cheat.

This is actually one of the best games I have ever played. It was an extremely relaxing experience and the pace of the game is great.

If you want a game with solid mechanics, requires a fair amount of skill and just want to relax, buy this game!

This game is for a very small group of people that are willingly to go to a great extend to master the game's mechanics. The game is extremely difficult at certain points, which does not make it a bad game. I can't personally recommend this game to anyone as it doesn't have a dynamic difficulty feature, which would adjust enemies according to the player's skill.

I really enjoyed the game, but just like Doom Eternal, this game sometimes places an ungodly amount of pressure on its players that only a few players in the world would be willing to take.

Witcher 3 is without doubt the best game ever made. And it is still very indie at its core! It is one of the only real indie success stories.

I hope this review somehow reaches to the top of this page so people read it and I can help them make a good decision. I am giving this game a thumbs down simply because I am utterly disappointed at this game's game design. Being a professional video game developer myself, there is an old saying.

"If it works, don't touch it!"

The mechanics of Doom 2016 were perfect in every sense, and even the flaws (Overpowered Super Shotgun) made you feel like a god. Adding the unnecessary mechanics, plenty of them, which have completely changed the game made it worst! People like Jim Sterling and other famous reviewers like him hate the overheating mechanic that they introduced in the new Contra Game! The bloody Chainsaw to get ammo is king of like an overheating mechanic!

Wasn't DOOM supposed to be about being an unstoppable force? Wasn't it supposed to be about massacring demons non-stop? Wasn't Doom 2016 exactly that?

Not everybody is Zero Master and keeping mechanics simple can actually be fun! People still play Doom 1 and Doom 2 because their mechanics were remarkable. Did you see the developers change the mechanics in Doom 2? They did not, and the game was still extremely good. The entire mechanics where you have to target specific areas of your enemy to disable certain attacks was completely unnecessary. The developers could have just added an "Old Mechanics" option to bring back all the old features of the 2016 games for the people who just want that experience all over again in the different setting.

I seriously cannot understand why people think this game is a masterpieice. Any other developer who didn't have the brand DOOM on it would have been bashed for creating a game as unbalanced as this.

Oh yeah, I played this game on Nightmare by the way, but started it on Hurt Me Plenty. This game shines when it comes to pressure, but the stupid ammo mechanic and the weakness mechanic? You are actually punished for fighting well! CQC is near impossible in this game and the Blood Punch is only good for weaker enemies during the start, giving you a false sense of comfort, when a Hell Knight Eats it like nothing happened. I feel bad for the developers who get inspired by this game and create something like this.

I will finish the game, but my God, it is terrible! No idea how the reviewers completely missed it! A good game is one which gives you a free hand to play however you want! In this game, you never feel that way!

Update:

So I have uninstalled the game and will continue playing DOOM 2016. This was one of the only games in more than 3 years that I pre-purchased and I am thoroughly disappointed. If you buy this game, please do not expect it to be a good DOOM game. It is a good game, but they have taken some of the laziest approaches to Game Design. Like I said, not everybody should be FORCED to play the game the way the developer wants. DOOM 2016 allows you to play how you wanted.

Instead of spending so much time on Needless Platfomer sections, they could have spent that time on a mode which brought back all of the gameplay mechanics from DOOM 2016 for those that wanted a similar experience in a new settings.

Seriously some of the design choices in this game are absolutely nuts. How the hell didn't most of the reviewers spot the problems in this game??? I am amazed!

Uninstalled before completing it. Very bad experience!

Update: This game is one of the worst designed games that I have ever played in my entire life.

Update: I tried to like it just like many other people do. Still cannot get myself to like it. It is not a difficult game. On Nightmare, I ended the game with 15 lives. The game just gives you the illusion of death all the time. In reality, it is not easy to reach a game over state if you are just good at exploiting the game's mechanics. The problem is, it becomes nothing more than a weapon switching simulator at one time. Doom 2016 was much better.

Definitely not a game for me. I didn't like it and didn't finish it. There are better games out there. People praised the campaign but I didn't find it all that interesting.

The game can get unfair at times. The shooting itself is far from good IMO.

After Witcher 3, it is probably the best game that I have ever played. There are still some design issues though. Mr. X and the sewers needs some re-working or ammo in the game should be based on kills or something. Resident Evil 4 did it best.
