One of the better Grand Strategy games there are where I can (but won't) write and talk mostly positive about as it is one of my favourite games. There are some cons and pros to it tho..

It is in my opinion one of the best strategy games there are with in-depth mechanics that make the era feel alive.
In the almost 400 years timespan of the game, the game changes noticably. From the late middle ages to the early ages of imperialism. The in-game changes and the replayabilty is immense. Alt-historical or historical, it doesn't matter what you do. Or what nation you chooce in that 400 year span. It's almost all posible.

Altough the DLC-policy ruins the game here and then, but that is Paradox standard..
The game receives big updates a couple of times per year that improve the game. Problem is that most of the new stuff i.e. mechanics are behind a paywall. And as one might easily notice, the total price is quite high..
