Warband is a fantastic game, despite being released years ago, the unique gameplay is till enjoyable today. The options for mods are wide and varied and allow for diverse gameplay. I would recommend the last days of the third age for dynamic and iconic sieges. The graphics are not the best, but this game will tie you over until the release of bannerlord.
