Haven't played this game in a while but it still is something special.

My best story about this game was when I spawned in a small community that was just starting out but still had an efficient farm and quite a few members. My mother clothed me, fed me, and put me near a fire to keep me warm. Eventually she left, but by then I had grown up enough to fend for myself and seeing the beginnings of a steel smelting operation, I decided to make that my life's work. As I was slowly going through the steps of making steel, another tribe member kept me fed with carrots by tending the farms, watering and harvesting them. Eventually I had grown up enough to have kids, which I tried to protect and take care of, but of all the 3-4 kids I had, none stayed in the settlement and all left to die in the wilderness. Nearing 50 minutes of game time I had almost finished making steel when I saw that the carrot farmer and I were the last remaining member of the settlement. Everyone else had died or ran away, and since I couldnt have children anymore and the farmer was a man, I knew the tribe would end with us. I then finished the steel, made an axe head cut some wood, dumped it in the fire and said my goodbye and thanks to carrot guy to have kept me fed all these years.

The mechanics are very clunky but the stories you make playing this game are something I haven't been able to get anywhere else. Maybe not 10/10 but defenitively worth trying
