Not sure how anyone is taking an hour to do their first automation which is wood harvester-stumpy spark.

After you give the quatermaster the three minions, leave to the mine, go back to town, collect the three minions by calling them back off the path, and collect the wood

Some maps have more convientent placing of resources, but overall as long as you manage you sparks right its pretty simple.

Learn the patterns of the monsters to farm resorces. then it becomes really easy to use your sparks to farm them for Aether chunks. you can use the paths to mark spawn points so you can know where beetlephants and things are.

This game is not finished, but its already a lot of fun. I am excited for when new biomes come out!
