Late to the party, but I think it's a automated system doing it. I recently got hit for my using my real first name and having "Rest in peace Mike. Shout out TYP" in my profile desc. How is my first name violating TOS? No clue, and steam support also had no clue, but because they couldn't see the history of my profile, they kept the me from changing it for 2 weeks.

They also got me a few years ago for having JUST a woman's mid section showing in my profile pic. lmfao but my display/game name? Perfectly fine, never got hit for it in the 2+ years I've had it. Guess they agree with me on the IRS :mhwgood:

That's modern Steam (well, any site basically) for you.. sucks, sorry.
I'm really not a fan of how moderation is handled nowadays. I get that you might want to not allow X or Y, but there needs to be clear guidelines and not this current BS where the moderator can freely decide what's okay and what's not, based on a whim. There's a ton of weird ♥♥♥♥, like how you're not allowed to show alcohol in any content you upload, yet, there's like a billion games with alcohol displayed within them.
And then there's, as you've said, official stuff which is borderline porn as well.
I have a bunch of BGs on my main where you can see nipples through clothing. Like the actual clothing's semi see-through. Same game has a trading card where the full art shows a cameltoe. ♥♥♥♥'s rigged.

had my pfp for like a year and then i posted a workshop collection for l4d2 and got hit with "your profile picture violates steam's guidlines" or something similar so i "censored" it
even tho there are worse gooner bait pfps that you can buy with steam points, community mods will just find any reason to flex their power and ban/remove certain workshop content its actually insane
