Edited: After having updated my drivers, the game seems to be running better, however, there is still a lot of stuttering, and I still have no idea what caused that glitch where picking up a puzzle item crashed my game. There is a good game here, but the bugs and glitches really hamper the experience.

I played the original Dead Space over and over when I was a teenager. Absolutely loved the game, but it had its share of problems.

This remake, while it has its own (extremely minor) problems, I feel that this game improved upon what the original game lacked. Lot of really fun and interesting twists to the narrative that still pay homage to the original. Honestly, this is a remake truly worth playing.

Also, Kendra is likable now. Didn't think it was possible.

(Please ignore the time I played this game, I've actually played it much longer on a separate system)

Digimon Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition is what I would call "janky but fun". If you grew up on the Digimon World games and wanted a version that wasn't as frustrating, then this game is one I would recommend.

The Good: Both stories are pretty good full of serious moments and decent(ish) humor. The way you capture/collect digimon I found rather interesting, and a lot of the themes and stuff in the game itself are rather engaging. That, and it feels like Digimon should, unlike how Digimon Survive felt.

The Bad: There is a lot of tedium in the game, by that I mean be prepared to grind, especially if you want specific digivolutions. Also, there are times where there was a lack of proof reading with dialogue (lot of spelling errors).

Personal recommendation: If you want more fun out of the game, get the "Ultimate Digimon Pack" mod, as well as the "Element Text on Digimon Icon" mod. More digimon + not needing to remember element colors = more options.

Eternal is one of those games where it's hard to recommend without a few caveats.

Really, it comes down to what you want out of the game and how patient you are when it comes to getting it.

Do you want a cute little time sink game that you can play with your friends, and not have to pay a lot for cards? If so, then this game "sort of" has you covered. Heavy emphasis on "sort of" because there's a fair bit of grind, and some cards are locked behind campaigns which you do have to pay for and beat in order to get said cards. Otherwise, if you're not that interested in the more in depth aspects of the game, then yeah, it's a cute little time sink to play with your friends.

Are you someone who wants to take this a little more seriously and want a deck that can actually do some damage? If so, then be ready to pay. In my opinion, this game is generous in some ways and not in others. As previously mentioned, some cards are locked behind paywalls. Even if you use Eternal Warcry to build decks without having to think, you WILL find that some cards listed (in thousands of the decks people have made, I might add) are locked behind the campaigns that you have to buy.

TLDR: Depending on how patient you are and on whatever your financial situation is, this game can either be "alright" or frustrating. Because I have a comfortable-ish life with some free time, I'm able to enjoy this game in a way that I don't find daunting. I DO NOT recommend competitive unless you have money to burn and want to rub your ego against other people who spend thousands of dollars to be #1 in the "Who the f*ck really gives a sh*t?" contest.

If you love visual novels: This is a must play, with the only caveat being that there's a lot of depth and intrigue to the story provided you're willing to play along. Otherwise, highly recommend!

If you DON'T like visual novels: Theeeeen I can't really recommend this game. However, I will say that if you're someone that WANTS to like visual novels, but your first one was something like Vampires: The Masquerade Coteries of New York, then I would ask that you consider trying this game. All I'll say is that it really feels like every choice has weight to it, the music and atmosphere are the highlight, but the voice acting and writing are the real stars of the show.

Digimon is kind of a letdown for a number of reasons, most of which I'm sure others have said, but here's the gist:

As a visual novel, it is VERY slowly paced. And normally that can be forgiven if there is something in the narrative or interactivity of elements within said narrative. This game does not get a pass because until the digimon show up, you're sitting there wondering when the Digimon are going to show up.

As a "reboot" of the original digimon story we all grew up with as kids, well... It feels less like it's own thing with a nod to the original, and more like someone at Bandai Namco decided they wanted to "reinvent the wheel". If you're looking for a clever spin on the story you know and love, then you won't find it here. No 90's action, only weird supernatural mystery story.

The biggest fault of all is slapping "Digimon" on this. Had it been it's own thing, it might've felt better, especially in regards to the "mystery solving" elements of the visual novel half of the game. All this buildup that's supposed to make you go "What's happening?? What are those things??" when we KNOW what they are. They're Digimon... So really there's no horror mystery.

And as for the "turn based strategy"... I never got to it because the story is so slowly paced and they force you to look for clues to a mystery that doesn't really exist. Had they made the story more like the anime we grew up on, had us befriend the digimon sooner, they could've had the battles sooner and had an even spread of visual novel and turn base rpg. Building friendships with your digimon and your human companions.

If you really want a fairly decent Digimon Game that feels more in line with what we were raised on, look no further than Digimon Cybersleuth: Complete Edition. This game... Unless you are way more patient than I am when it comes to storytelling in games (And believe me when I say I am quite patient), go ahead and skip this.
