Unoptimized piece of junk, stuttering issues with a 4080 and an i9-13950HX. Also the same collision bug from 2023 that makes your character infinite hover over the air still exists and the only way to fix that is reloading your previous save. STOP MAKING DLC FOR A 2 YEAR OLD GAME THAT ARE JUST CASH GRAB JUNK AND MAKE ANOTHER GAME .

In response from developer. Everything is updated and the shaders fully compiled. The elephant in the room is not the stuttering since it is manageable at least in some extend. The instances of the bugs though it is another story... Several encounters of the same hovering bug from the base game (p-3 jumps over an area and goes into a limbo of hovering not being able to land or phase out of it )made me reload my save multiple times, also a new bug when p-3 was hanging from the edges of the glass aquarium, his hands became crooked and it was impossible to drop down.... again the only solution was reloading a previous save.

The God of Overrated Games

I cannot fathom how this creation is considered a masterpiece in any sense as a game... God of War Ragnarok starts with the dullest, worst paced narrative with the most unimaginative dialogue ever written (fixes after the half way mark of the story) combined with clunky mechanics and sluggish combat (that never fixes xD). That combination is the newest addition in the God of War series and it is by far the worst that it has ever been across the spawn of almost 2 decades.

Let's start with the combat of both Atreus and Kratos. How a camera that works on walking simulation games is still considered the best choice for an action game? You play 95% of the game as a melee fighter while having dead angles in a melee based combat like you are playing an FPS game. Controlling Kratos feels like you are indeed in Greece trying to run after eating 4 portions of Pork Souvlaki with extra onion/garlic sauce and being under the effects of gastrointestinal reflux disease. Also why 90% of the enemies in this entry are swamp monsters is also beneath me... maybe they get attracted by the Tzatziki sauce on Kratos after him eating those portions of Pork Souvlaki mentioned above.

The skill tree is totally mundane making me not even care what kind of upgrades i would purchase. Everything is adding an effect to an existing normal attack or parry nothing new or innovative the combat doesn't change at all it still has the same auto attacks same rotation same everything but this time slower and clunkier than ever before. The interface also has the most basic UI i have ever witnessed in a game released after 2010 making me feel like i am scrolling through the menu or options of Microsoft Word.

The cherry on top though is the Atreus segments across the game!! I was at my wits end while playing the first encounter with Angrboda ( and i don't give a rats ass that she got the Sweetbaby inc treatment of being black in a Norse mythology game ). The pacing is so slow during that segment , caring for the animals, picking up freaking turnips to feed them and strolling through the swamps with your incredibly SLOW MOUNT... WTF am i playing LIFE IS STRANGE ? WHY FEEDING TURNIPS TO ANIMALS IS PART OF A GOD OF WAR GAME???????? TWO AND A HALF HOURS OF playtime is that god freaking segment. Maybe the next time Atreus falls to sleep we ll be forced to play music and dance with butterflies and roses like we are in a Disney game. WHY NOT PUT A MUSICAL ALSO IN IT WITH KRATOS DOING THE BACK UP VOICE. OH ATREUS I AM YOUR FATHER LALALA .. I think i am losing a screw or two while playing this game...

Because nothing is all negative God Of War does some stuff remarkable but none of them have anything to do with the ''Gameplay'' part. The OST is phenomenal alongside with the graphics, characters are real and have growth , Kratos especially through the course of all the games has an amazing character development, and even Atreus plays as a real teenager going from a know it all brat to finally maturing. The narrative while being weak at the start really makes up for everything in the end. Voice acting directing everything is top notch from the grand scenes at the end to even in just plain adventuring and exploring the 9 realms.

There is nothing positive though about the Gameplay, the combat, the skills, exploring, everything is so scripted filled with invisible walls that feel sluggish or wrong while doing it. Some dialogue and the Atreus section's feel terrible and especially at the start of the game they are totally out of place..
I am not even going to mention anything about the mandatory PSN account since that took 5 mins of my time while the Angrboda and Atreus soap opera lovestory took significantly more.

I don't get the hype, i don't get the awards, i don't get appraise.. This game is the embodiment of mediocrity in every aspect except the visuals and the soundtrack or anything that has to do with a MOVIE and not a GAME. It excels nowhere as a game and most of the time feel's like a chore. It even has Ubisoft-style collectibles and quick time events while it released on LATE 2022.

QUICK TIME EVENTS IN 2022-2023 i rest my case and i am over and done.

God of War Ragnarok is a Great MOVIE but a Terrible GAME... 5/10

A very solid J-RPG with amazing soundtrack story and combat. The pacing is well and the only downside of the game is the implementation of the calendar system and how the follower quests work in order to rank them up. There are moments where the game made me cry and i was fully invested in the narrative along the whole path!! The soundtrack is truly ecstatic while combat is the best that a turn base system can offer!

Dragon Age is a Troubled game, that lacks in some aspects but shines in others and i don't think its treated fairly. Is it a perfect game? No it's not .. Is it fun and enjoyable ? Yes and might i add addictive also ! So let's do an analysis of Veilguard and all that it has to offer!

-GRAPHICS / WORLD BUILDING
The visuals of Dragon Age The Veilguard are phenomenal to say at least. The art style the cities everything is a feast for the eyes and it runs pretty good also.. But we as gamers and consumers tend forget that ugly looking outdated software which run like crap do exist ! yeah looking at you Starfield which are released every day and we don't even bat an eye. I feel while playing this game immersed, i feel like i am in a living world breathing. The game IS NOT an Open world and if u ask me that is a good thing. I never feel bloated , i don't feel i need to finish a supermarket check list , and i am actually excited when i get some new quests. Exploration feels good and the loot is actually something i am excited to get to build my character.

- COMBAT/ DIFFICULTY/ SPECIALIZATION/ RPG
Combat starts slow and feels like you ain't doing anything special ( i am talking as a Warrior). The first 15 hours of the game where painfull i must admit that all my skils felt like cat scratches but.... when the specialization in the talent tree took effect the game started to look a lot more different!! IT IS AN RPG and derives a lot of its element's from games like World of Warcraft and like all those games the start is painfull.. Talents actually do something and building through a path makes a night and day difference, i don't know what Skill Up was smoking when he reviewed the game but enemies are not health sponges. The moment i put the correct gear (Necrosis) and talents (Reaper) my Rook started to hit hard and combining the abilities from the companions and special gear i felt like i was getting stronger with each level (playing on UNDERDOG btw). THAT IS WHAT AN RPG IS MEANT TO DO (i know it's the role playing also but we will get to that later). Game has meaningful progression, well thought talents and MULTIPLE SPECS.. what the ♥♥♥♥ more you want for a single player experience? YOU WANT PERKS like Starfield that u need to grind them and they still do nothing (god i hate this amateur project by interns posing as a game) or do you want talents like 1% extra damage when BEARS are nearby and it's sunny 1/10 like Valhalla or other Ubisoft abominations have???

-STORY / WRITTING / COMPANIONS / ROLEPLAYING / CHARACTER DESIGN
And now we start going to the stuff that ain't perfect by a long shot... The story has irrelevant villains BUT they still feel powerful and intimidating, you still feel that the end of the world is coming and that this burden has weighted a lot on your shoulders.. Yeah the tone of writing is light and family friendly and I know the game looks like a Pixar movie which could be called Shrek's Adventures for all i care BUT THAT IS NOT A BAD THING!! (On second thought maybe it is for old Dragon Age fans and i kinda respect that.) BUT FOR NEW PLAYERS IT IS NOT and i know alot of people like my self this is their first entry into the series!!!! The companions now are all likable EXCEPT ONE and we all know who that is (who could have thought i find Taash insuferable). I love the peculiar Necromancer (who has a fear of death) and his goofy companion Manfred. I like the stoic warrior Darvin with his cute little griffin Assan, the coffee addicted demon possessed rogue Lucanis i like the team as a whole and i feel good being a part of their adventures!!! (Yep still not Taash). Now the Role playing part IS LACKLUSTER, sometimes i don't want to agree with someone, i don't want to partake in something, i can't even be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the love of god.. Yeah that is IDD a problem and the writting quality sometimes is terrible.. I need to romance hot partners and i need to be free to sexualize also my character to the fullest, it is a game a break from reality and i need to be free !!! So give us big boobs and big bums for ♥♥♥♥'s sake... It is a fantasy game let us fantasize in that... I don't even care about Trans-scarrs or adding Vitiligo but i must ask a question. WHO IN A FANTASY SETTING WOULD ADD CONDITIONS OR SCARS THAT REMIND HIM/HER OF THE GRUELING REALITY... i imagine a trans person WOULD JUST WANT TO BE THE SEX HE TRANSITIONED INTO AND NOT BEAR FREAKING REMINDERS AS SCARS OF HIS BIRTH SEX.... I am a bald 6.3 ft dude and my Rook is a short female elf with white hair, IT IS A GAME !!!!!!

-DEI / ACCESS JOURNALISM / ACTUAL TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES / THE TRUE BLIGHT OF DRAGON AGE THE VEILGUARD
The number 1 reason this game gets all that hate is how both the writers that wanted to express inclusion and diversity and the journalists wanted to force it in our thoughts as the best next thing like we are toddlers with a negative IQ and EQ, and when we said, hey i don't want politics in my freaking video game, or hey it is done wrong the answer we got was YEAH YOU DONT because you are a racist BIGOT. The way this game wants to address its agenda is mostly done via a companion called Taash. This companion is a caricature of a character , its obnoxious entitled and constantly wants to be the center of attention. If that companion according to the writers is the ''standard'' of trans and non binary people i don't even want to talk again to either of those groups. IMAGINE if your representation is a character THAT CENTERS HIS/HER/THEY (I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ anymore) EXISTENCE AROUND THEIR SEXUALITY AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. I would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed if i was a Trans man to be honest. A typical conversation with Taash goes as follows..
-Everyone else : The World is ending what are we going to do two Gods are going to devour the world with blight HELP!!!!!!!
-Taash : yeah you know i am non binary so before you address me remember i want to be called 'they' so do some push ups so i see you respect my ideology, ah are those two Gods boning each other? they sure do i think mhhhhh.
IS THAT WRITING FFS?????? WHO GREENLIGHTS THAT!!
And finally a love letter to IGN , The Gamer and more game journalism sites out there who are apparently suffering from some form of a bipolar syndrome countering their original reviews every next day. THIS GAME IS NOT A 10, POLITICS ARE IRRELEVANT IN A GAME, NOT EVERYTHING MUST BE FAMILY FRIENDLY, LETS US BE ENTERTAINED AND STOP GETTING PAID TO WRITE ♥♥♥♥. Game journalism is a joke and needs to be terminated and has done far more harm in the gaming community than good.
And for the cherry on top let's talk about actual game stuff that no one mentioned. (What do you mean game stuff on a game??? i thought that was only a political rally..) GAME HAS TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES THAT ARE GAME BREAKING. The architecture of inputs and outputs is completely screwed , controllers are not getting identified there is input lag present, headphones get disconnected without losing power. The game has such a problem when you input commands that actually feels like you are playing The Surge a game that got baffled for its movement mechanics WHICH CAME OUT IN 2017. DO BETTER TEST THE GAMES MORE CUT THE POLITICAL CRAP!

So concluding is the game the RETURN TO FORM as all paid jokers that work in gaming journalism write it is? No it is not but not for the reasons you might think. Remove caricatures, make roleplaying and decisions like they actually matter , let us immerse our selves without feeling constricted (either with our options on decision making or either by feeling that our character is controlled by A WII REMOTE).

There is a game under all that ugly propaganda and bad writing that is beautiful and in the end i choose to see that.. I am having fun and that is something that is not easy with today's gaming releases. Dragon Age could be a masterpiece but it's not. It is though a solid 8/10 if you ignore all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.. so go do that and have fun...

Ys X is in my opinion the worst entry i got my hands on in the YS franchise but it is still a worthwhile game to sink some hours into! Story and combat are somewhat weak compared to those of YS VIII but for me at least the open world makes up to it. I love the soundtrack as with all YS games especially the track "Those who live in the Distant Sea''. The biggest let off for me though is the dialogue as reading lines of text without any voice acting for hours becomes redundant quickly in 2024. Nihon Falcon needs to update their game format and engine cause unfortunately it is starting to show it's age quite blatantly.
Still a solid j-rpg 7.5/10

I dont get how combining laser beams in a trial and error fashion qualifies as a ''smart'' solution but all the puzzles in this DLC expect you to play with this logic in your mind. Not looking for a solution just combining different refraction's till something works. This is a first in the talos series and i must say its boring tedious and a big downgrade from what the series is used to offer. Hard pass and surely overpriced i just hope more talos games wont follow this ''new'' puzzle model.
