Reminds me of early classics like Binding of Isaac / FTL / Slay the Spire. Lots of fun roguelike stuff throughout, there is a reason it is reviewed so highly. Tiny Rogues does have room to grow so hopefully development continues.

I am not a big fan of bullet hell games, but this game is pretty manageable to me for some reason, kinda like Isaac.

Super crunchy stats, you will geek.

The graphic filters are HORRIBLE disable them your head will stop hurting.

5.8 hours played so far we will see how many more, if we pass 100 hours we got a winner!

Not just a meme game actually really fun!

Update After 13 Hours: This game has no business being this good. It is not perfect or anything like that but...

It is POKEMON on top of RUST on top of ZELDA with a dash of ELDEN RING just for fun.. and it is done really well. None of the parts are perfect but the pokemon part is so much fun. There is tons to improve upon and expect it to feel like early access but what is here, the skeleton, is really special.

You can tell the future is going to be a lot like the future of a rust type game. Community driven with interesting servers and ways to play with and against others. I heard there are permadeath servers already and when they add the planned pvp setting to online maps it is going to be fun for idiots like me who like permadeath.
I haven't played rocket league or fairy tale fables in 2 days :O

Do not let the looks the simple graphics fool you this is the best true autobattler that exists right now. Everyone needs to try Fairy Tale Fables if you like ranked games, even if your not sure what a true autobattler is! Even if you do not like ranked games!

Feels like a sequel to one of the best/craziest games I have ever been a part of, Story Book Brawl. Crazy how billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried bought Storybook Brawl with FTX then became one of the biggest criminals in history. Now both SBB and SBF are both off somewhere sheltered from society where we cannot touch them. Sad because Storybook Brawl was a great game.

If you are new the genre and you enjoy any sort of competitive strategy game (especially if you like limited modes Yugi-oh, Hearthstone, Magic, pokemon TCG)

Fairy Tale Fables expands upon almost everything from storybook brawl in some way and it all feels great. Seems to me there is about 50% more content than in Storybook Brawl...

New stuff:
-Async Ranked Mode
-mana currency for spells
-equitable character items in the store
-Chaos mode with even more content
-A 'Ready Button' and you can still move stuff after you ready! (still cant believe some auto battlers do not have this)
-Lots of nice UI stuff game feels good overall despite the simple aesthetic (runs great on ANY cpu)
-Im sure im forgetting a few new things let me know in comments

Returning:
- Pretty much all the old strats are in this game one way or the other.. Only thing i noticed missing was trees. I do not think there was anything from storybook brawl that wasn't represented in this game.
- The old community is BACK! They are great and they love tourneys so make sure to join the discord.
- I will be there as well


IF YOU LOVE RANKED / MMR / ELO GAMES LIKE ME MAKE SURE TO GIVE THIS A TRY!!!
Also recommended to anyone who ever got addicted to casino slots (not kidding)

I have never enjoyed a Tactics RPG. I have not enjoyed a general turn based RPG since Super Mario RPG / Final Fantasy 7+10 / Dragon Quest X.

I did not think I could get into a turned based RPG again!

This game does such an amazing job at.... everything. I enjoy it on the hardest mode everything feels very meaningful. If you are on the fence and have been disappointed by many other hyped games maybe still give this a shot. I recommend it for gamers who enjoy the hardest difficulties and I bet it is amazing on easier modes as well.

There seems to be a lot of really cool features and modes.

I may never know these cool features.

I enjoy the hardest difficulty though still trying to get a game over 50% reviews in 1976 before I go bankrupt.

Really good game I hope I don't wuss out and lower the difficulty.

Oh also seems to be some kind of pvp mode, I better get good first. Devs should add a RANKED/MMR/ELO mode!

If there is any kind of competitive scene let me know in comments I will prob check out the discord!

Great game. Great job to take everything I hate about tug of war / rock paper scissor game play and improves upon those issues. The autobattler mechanics are kinda light (you get a bonus every round, sometimes its equipment for a unit, sometimes buffing a particular unit, or some other global buff, both sides get the same choices each round) But the store is not in an auto battler style, both sides get access to all 14 units. What is unique is that you can customize what 4 abilities each unit can bring into the match which provides a lot of variety and choices (reminds me of paladins). Also units earn xp which is a pretty fun mechanic because units cannot be moved normally so it is fun to see how opponents respond to your evolving growing threat, and fun to upgrade your 'carry' unit.

I really like this game. I think I am not a big fan of the 1v1 2v2 modes and I would encourage the developers to consider making an 8 player battle royale mode. Yes you lose some of the rock paper scissors / tug of war game play in the early rounds (thank god) but in the later rounds will revert back to that style of game play. Also I would experiment with making a store more akin to traditional autobattlers where you have an RNG store if you do try this mode. I think a store where you get access to everything only works in your 1v1 and 2v2 modes. Also I think it may be important to give everyone visual information on their opponents last board and give the units more movement options so you can adapt to multiple opponents.

Also I love that you have the predictions system. I probably won't ever use it but I love that you have it. I love cool ideas like that amplify ranked gameplay, and it does enhance the game for me with the information even though I probably wont use the system. (I love stats and info!)

Great Game keep evolving it with great modes and competitive systems!

This game is amazing even with the reservations I had. Highly addicting give it a chance. The fact that units are permanent... units can level up... room for growth in the future ...GREAT GAME MUST BUY!!!

This is the best autobattler on the market. This game is a much buy if you like competitive or stategic gameplay!!!
