Enjoyed the game so far and want to play more but can't recommend for as long as a PSN account is being forced.

FYI: Steam has always listed that a PSN account is required. Upon first launch the game has a PSN account create/link screen THAT IS SKIPPABLE and this message is never shown again. I had hesitations about creating an account and considered refunding, but I assumed it wasn't required since the message wasn't recurring and didn't persist. Should have gone with my gut instinct, apparently.
