Early Access Review
So far, so good! I'm a sucker for pixel art, and this game delivers in spades.
It also fulfills that nostolgia for HoMM3 with it's own twist that keeps the game fresh and entertaining.

I have my wishlist for sure:
1) I wish combat was a bit slower, or had some sort of toggle or slider for animation speed, because first getting into it, everything seemed like it moved way too fast. This is definitely a personal preference sort of thing though, and it was something I got used to as I played
2) I would like (or maybe there is, and I'm just blind/didn't look at the controls) some way to stop my Wielder's (Think Hero) movement after it begins. As it is, if some shiny thing appears as my Wielder is walking, and I right click on the shiny, the Wielder will just fast forward to their destination.

I only played through 3 and 1/2 campaign missions so far, and I think the difficulty of such ramped up pretty appropriately. I'm definitely no expert in the genre, and just when I thought I had a good handle on how to slow roll the missions and just overwhelm the enemy, things shifted in mission 3 and I was forced to learn/adapt.
For instance: Once you create a building, you don't need the prereqs in order to *keep* the building.
Here's a more specific example. You need the Quarry in order to build the Castle and create Knights. However to upgrade the Castle, you don't need to keep the Quarry.

All in all, a solid game, would definitely recommend to fans of the HoMM series/style of game.
