As a coaster enthusiast and big fan of the original and the RCT games the current launch version of Planet Coaster 2 just isn't worth it. The UI is a disaster as it tries to cater to the console version which makes it way harder to play and navigate to what you want. The new paths and pools features have massive potential but the game does a bad job explaining it and it feels underdeveloped. The campaign mode is mostly the same tasks over and over again (which isn't unusual to this genre of game) with some of the worst "characters" and dialog ever. The game also itself doesn't run that great and stutters a lot more that it should considering how good the first game runs. The franchise mode is really cool but it also requires the making of a Frontier games account which is annoying. It's a game I will stick with because a good game is there but it's currently buried beneath a clunky UI, half finished new features, and an overall un-optimized experience. 6/10 - Infinite

Sonic Generations was already a great game but the edition of the Shadow campaign has moved it up into the top tier of games for the franchise. While the Generations portion is fairly simular with a couple tweaks and story changes the Shadow story builds off the foundation of Sonic Frontiers and shows the true potential of it. The levels just like in Generations are great but it's the open world hub with a good amount of exploration where the Shadow story differs itself from the base game. It also helps that the story while still fairly basic is miles better than the original story. Shadows "mutations" adds so much more to the gameplay as well and while they're not all great the majority are welcome additions to the game. The music surprisingly can be kind of hit or miss but for the most part is good (Especially the final boss theme remix). Overall anyone that likes 3D Sonic games will enjoy this and it's now one of the most complete and polished 3D Sonic games out there. 9.5/10 -Infinite

Balatro is very hard to explain in words. The phrase "Poker Rougelike" is an odd one but it's exactly what it is. However in a way that doesn't do it justice. It's gameplay loop is really unlike any card game I've ever played blending the commonly known game Poker with crazy elemental cards and mechanics which make each move impact the next one. The jokers are all unique and fun to discover and learn to use. Many times i've seen a Joker the sounds useless but end up finding how good it can be in the right build. Like many rouguelike games luck is a key contributor which in this games case it's ultimately its best and worst aspect. Each run being unique with different decks and challenges keeps it fresh as you try and get your best score but at the same time some runs are almost doomed to fail from the start making it frustrating. In the end though I kept on hitting "new run" instead of quitting just because the core game is that fun. Up there with best card games on Steam. 9/10 - Infinite

Early Access Review
One of the best Co-op horror games out there all the way up with Phasmophobia. The concept is so simple but everything around it makes it an absolute blast with friends. The monsters are unique, the world atmosphere is mysterious and intriguing, and the game is loaded with charm. As a horror game this game can be creepy too something that other games in the same genre can struggle with after repeat plays (Forewarned and Phasmophobia for example). The few downsides are that it still feels like it's missing things, item types are not extensive so you're picking up the same identical bottles over and over and the insides of the factories really only have 2 looks to them for now. Overall this game is an fantastic simple horror game that is perfect with friends. For an early access indie game this exceeds all expectations and I can't wait to see what they add next. (No score for early access)

Trackmania (2020) is a great game that continues the great series of Trackmania games however it's subscription model is something that ultimately limits how many people can enjoy it. Having played since its launch in 2020 the continuous improvements (Royal, Ranked, COTD, etc) have made that subscription absolutely worth it. I love to join random server playlists and play weird maps with friends and the core trackmania gameplay is better than its ever been. However I can really see why someone who see's "Free" and installs TM and is then locked out of a lot of the cool mutiplayer stuff (outside of Royal and Ranked) and can't type in chat feels a little bit lied too. Ubisoft Connect is also kinda annoying but once it's set up it really isn't a big issue. The core gameplay of Trackmania 2020 is just too great, I love coming back each day to play Cup of the Day. I love playing Royal with friends and trying to prestige each animal team with friends, and I love sitting back playing random maps late into the night. Trackmania is pure racing fun and has a great community behind it. $10 a year subscription feels high (and i'd rather have an upfront pricetag) but it's 100% worth it in my opinion. 9/10 -Infinite

There is a lot to like about Sonic’s latest 3D adventure and also a lot of frustrating issues that hold it back from being great. It’s miles better than the previous three 3D Sonic games (Forces, Boom, and Lost World) but the game is so close to being in that elite tier of Sonic games it almost left me disappointed.

Sonic Frontiers is the closest thing to what most people would consider Open World and while I initially thought that was going to be a terrible idea for the most part I think it works great and is a refreshing change to the traditional Sonic formula. The longer I got in the game the more I realized the best part was just running around and doing to mini platform puzzles and collecting the “Memories of Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Sage” (Yes I know that sounds weird but that’s what the game calls them). You get in a really fun game play loop and mixed with the pretty good music played in the 5 islands (the open world is split in between 5 islands) it’s a rather relaxing experience too. That’s to say there isn’t faults in this open world though. I lot of odd invisible walls, poor clipping on the rock sides of the island, terrible pop in that would have a N64 jealous, and overall generic environments hold it back. The game also features challenges that you have to complete to unlock parts of the map and for the most part these are incredibly easy and have very little substance. Throughout the map you’ll find giant bosses that can provide a fun challenge and really show off the new “combat” system. Unfortunately it involves a lot of button mashing but you do get abilities that are noticeably better. Beating these bosses unlocks “Portal Gears” that can be used to unlock traditional Zone Levels. This is in my opinion the worst part of the game. Nearly all of these levels are just former zones (Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Etc) with a ugly Cyber Space theme and bad music. The 4 “Missions” are incredibly easy to get and in some cases I cleared all 4 on my first run through of the level on “Hard mode”. Also something about the physics in these zones feels off and makes it even less fun. Anyways clearing these unlocks Vault Keys which allow you to get Chaos Emeralds. When you get all 5 you can fight one of 4 Titans as Super Sonic. These fights are incredibly button mashy but the music is great even though it doesn’t fit the tone of the game very well. It’s definitely more spectacle than gameplay. Repeat that 4 times (1 of the island is just climbing massive towers 7 times) and then you get to the final boss which I wont spoil but it’s one of the worst in Sonic history.

The voice acting and story is actually pretty good. The story takes itself serious for the most part and covers some dark topics for a Sonic game and for the most part pulls it off. Eggmans new AI named Sage can be pretty annoying and generic though. Learning the values of friendship which is a trope modern Sonic games have done for over a decade now. There is a hilarious “emotional” scene featuring Sage’s friendship/family revelation where cutscenes are replayed with a tint filter and Sage humming a terribly out of tune song (some of the cutscenes happened 10 minutes prior and are not emotional at all). The voice acting is solid but I still am not a fan of Roger Craig Smiths Sonic voice. However the writing isn’t really as cringy as it has been in part games so that helps a ton.

The music is very hit or miss. The over world music is solid and fits the tone well. The Titan music is great despite not fitting the games tone well. The music in these Titan Boss fights just goes so hard it's awesome and they're genuinely good songs. The Zone music almost all sucks and would rather never hear it again. The credits music was also very good (Shoutout to NateWantsToBattle). So it’s a mixed bad soundtrack that is held back by the Zone music.
Lastly graphically this game is just ok. At times it looks really good but the rain effect is bad and certain textures like grass and rocks look straight up terrible. The pop in is also straight up terrible and can even pop in when Sonic is 2 feet away from it which just doesn’t look good.

Overall I enjoyed Sonic Frontiers and am optimistic about the groundwork is layed down. A lot of the issues it has are very fixable too (Pop In being the biggest) and really make me excited for another game that build off Frontiers foundation. Not nearly as good as Generations but miles better than Force and Boom. 14-15 hour campaign too making it the longest Sonic campaign is quite a while (maybe Unleashed) so you get a lot of content for your money (including Fishing with Big the Cat). Would recommend if you like Sonic game or 3D platformers. 7.7/10

Later Alligator is an adorable and enjoyable game with fun 2d animation, a unique setting, and worderfully written dialog. While the core minigames can be very hit or miss everything around it is so good that the few minutes of a bad minigame doesn't hurt the overall quality of the game. Each character was a joy to talk to and interact with especially the main Alligator of the day "Pat" who was an absolute joy to read everything he had to say. The music for the most apart is also really good with the tune in the arcade being a standout. Despite it's short length it is absolutely worth playing, it's a joyful experience from start to finish,

It's tough to recommend this game considering it is VERY short but there is no doubt in the short amount of gametime that it is fun. The combat is super fluid, fun, and rewarding. All the weapons are fun to use and with 1 exception all the enemies are fun to fight. The game looks nice and really doesn't a have any glitches. From just the gameplay this is up there with Shadow Warrior (2013) in term of quality. It's just a shame it's so short (took less than 5 hours to beat). The animations in the cutscenes can look a little off as well but the voice acting is solid and there is an ok story. If you loved the 2013 Shadow Warrior and Doom this is perfect just short. If you're on the fence wait for a price drop because even $50 is a little much unless you really like this kind of game. Also really not a lot of replay value. So close to a fantastic game, just needs double the length. 7.2/10 - Infinite

Dying Light 2 improves on what Dying Light 1 did in nearly every way, there are more movement/combat options, more story, and graphically better but this doesn't mean it's a masterpiece. I loved the movement in the game and jumping around rooftops is easily the best part. One issue is that just like Dying Light 1 the beginning is slow so it takes a while to get the skills unlocked to experience this. Once you do get the upgrades this is the best feeling parkour in any game I've ever played (even Mirrors Edge). The combat is also much more in depth but does have its drawbacks, while the abilities such as the drop kick are crazy fun to use the limited stamina makes combat feel slow at time and really limits how fun it can be until you fully level up. It can also be a little buggy with enemies not reacting to hits right or flying towards you randomly just to finish a combat animation causing a lot of unfair deaths. The Story for the most part is great, the majority of characters are really interesting especially the main ones. Sometimes it feels like it drags but for a story that takes ~24 hours (for me on hard) it was pretty good. The factions stuff is cool but in the end it's disappointing how little it has an effect on the ending. The game also looks fantastic, it was a joy to run around Villedor and see everything in it. The game itself though has some annoying bugs such as never letting me fire my crossbow, loading transitions being glitchy, and the black screen I was greeted to at the end of the main campaign. Hopefully some of these bugs get patched soon (and judging how Techland supported the original I believe they will). because a lot of the enjoyment gets tarnished by stuff like this. I really did enjoy Dying Light and I did enjoy it even more than Dying Light 1 but it just falls a little short in my eyes from being in that elite category at the top. 9.1/10 -Infinite

Cyberpunk is so close to being in the same category as some of the greats in video games. However for everything it does super well, it slips up and butchers something else. Starting with the highlights it's easy to get into Night City and really feel the atmosphere. The game world looks amazing and the characters (when they don't bug out) and wonderfully animated to bring the world to life. The story and voice acting are also great and further the world building. If this game was a movie there really wouldn't be a lot of issues (aside from it being a very long movie. The problem starts with the combat which in some cases can be fun when you get the right upgrades but for the most part is clunky and unenjoyable. The driving is absolutely abysmal and makes the use of fast travel stations around the map a must. With the game being an RPG the give you 3 starting options all of which just lead you to the same story path and maybe give you a unique dialog option but it rarely impacts the stories direction. That's one of the biggest issues, for an open world RPG it's very on rails. Yes you can do all the side missions and do which missions you want but for the most part you're going to be playing till you get to the last area the same way as everyone else. The endings are not particularly great either but that's more of a personal opinion than a fact. In the end with Cyberpunk I wanted more of the world, I wanted more options, I wanted to spend more time with the characters but it all just falls short of what makes a great RPG. It's a overall enjoyable experience it just doesn't hold a candle to some of the greats.
