It's a game I've followed for a long time now and I think it really has the potential to reach great heights. The sound and animal design are in your face and interesting, and the quality of the work is spectacular. Its systems in terms of building and management can shape up to be some of the best in the genre, and the addition of a narrator like Nigel Marven really seal the deal for people nostalgic for early 2000s BBC specials.

Now I do want to make it clear, this is the baseline. The game is a long ways off of completion and its got a lot of rough edges atm. I'll update this as things get fixed, but currently the game can run badly in many cases, and bugs make this worse on occasion. Content can be lacking, but the devs have already planned monthly updates to add more and more to the game for who knows how long at this point.

So do I recommend the game; absolutely! But just be mindful of all of this when you purchase the game, because it will get better from Day 1

Having bought this game when it came into EA, I can tell you it's come a long way. Much needed content has filled the gaps that were missing when I originally wrote my review and the addition of new characters and a Mithrix-style boss have made the game diverse and challenging when the runs might not go as perfectly as you want. Highly recommended if you're looking for a new shooter-rougelite
