Good continuation from the first game IMO.

It has problems like anything else does, but the various endgame stuff is really fun. Plus, you can always ruin a planet intentionally.
What I like doing is getting Crimson, Hallow, and Corruption then bringing the blocks to a new world and making my own biomes out of it. Destroy all of it except your specially protected stuff that won't grow further than you personally want.

Even on the easiest possible mode, you'll need so many tutorials and walkthroughs at so many points that this game just plain can't be considered interesting, let alone enjoyable.
Plus, the controls are so extremely sensitive that even once you figure it out, there's no fun to be had.
Looking at it from a roleplay perspective, your characters are better off never having left Earth. So my suggestion is don't play this, your crew will thank you for every lack of purchase.

I crafted a badge and got a coupon for this, and it was less than a dollar that way and had card drops, so I bought it.

After not being able to do anything in the game, I read some reviews. Current state is less than it was!

What can you do in-game: I was an Engineer so I could place a turret. I could walk around.

That's it. If they even work on this anymore, then it's only to make everything shinier. The models are good, that's true. But it doesn't matter if there's no gameplay. I'll play it more later to get the rest of the drops and chance for boosters for it, but never after that.

- You're only allowed one savegame.

If this game was on a cartridge then limited savespace would be a problem and a single save would make sense and be acceptable, but it's for PC, guaranteeing you have vastly more space than is needed, so it isn't.

- Limited number of monsters, even less if you play it wrong.

Playing it wrong: Evolve your monsters (transmogrify) them as much as you can, as you're able to.

What you're supposed to do, is level up your guys and unlock their stats as best you can... but don't unlock mirage boards or transmogrification options until you've found the monster in the wild and gotten a prism for it. After that, you can continue leveling up what you have.

The reason why is if you unlock a mirage board, then the game counts you as having seen something, even if you didn't, so you don't get a prism. If you unlock a transmog option and make use of it, then that also counts you as having seen something, so when you see it for the first time in the wild, you won't get a prism there either.

If you do it smart, you can possibly have up to 3 of the same monster (assuming it has 3 forms) if you don't transmogrify them into other stages. Example:
Baby form (prism)
Juvenile form (prism)
Adult form (prism)

If you keep the baby as a baby, then see a juvenile, you get a prism. Then you can have 2 of that creature. As long as you don't advance them to adult, then when you do see an adult, you get another prism- so you can have all 3. At that time you can transmogrify them into whatever forms you want without losing overall pet count through the game.

I like it. It's the one game that finally fills the niche I was looking for- total chaos.
The mods are also pretty great, which is always a plus. Really friendly community, too, both in mod comments and the Discord server.

Positive:

Interesting game, provides a little bit of a challenge.

Negative:

Store page says it has Steam Cards, but it doesn't. False advertising. Check the Market for its cards, there aren't any.

First, the good:

The controls aren't THAT wonky.
Graphics are acceptable.
Shows some promise.

Now the bad:

Tutorial doesn't teach anything useful.
Lotts of speling erors.
No direction.

No... I mean there isn't really a game. Just run around and flimsily cast fireball, and no challenge in the combat.
What's that blue spinny thing I found?
Couldn't even complete the tutorial because the game doesn't work.
It's obvious the dev never played their own game because nothing goes anywhere.

I like it.
I started the series in Dungeons 2, and enjoyed that, and Dungeons 3 is much better than 2 was.
Figured I should check out Dungeons (1), even expecting it to be worse than the others because if you get better each time, then obviously backwards is worse.

It isn't bad! It's significantly different than the others in the series, but if you pay attention you can get a hang of it.

- more happy heroes, more power you can get from them when you murder them
- more power you get, more junk you get to shove around to decorate
- more decorations, higher your stats get

Simple method, but it works. First few missions you'll probably want to do over since you're messing up and not understanding the full mechanics or being able to navigate properly, so there's that too.

TL;DR

- English version has a lot of typos
- Game is broken as soon as you select your ingredients the very first time during the exam.
