This game is a blast. I like the quick swapping shooter mechanics, and weapon versatility. I also like the vibrant color scheme similar to Doom Eternal. It's fast paced, challenging and fun.

I honestly don't know what to say other than this is by far the most fun I've ever had with a Borderlands game, or any looter shooter for that matter. It has a fun, immature sense of humor which is right up my alley, there's so many fun, and cool guns, mods, and skills to experiment with, and you can farm for higher level loot after you complete the game with "True Vault Hunter Mode", and even raise the caliber of loot and challenge with the Mayhem system which really increases the replayability of this game. It can have the looter shooter grind that for once doesn't feel too grindy......looking at you Destiny 2. It's fun, funny, and looks great. 2 things I would note: I would recommend playing it on DX12 with a modern rig. Older rigs will, and do struggle with this game performance wise. Secondly, is look for a deal with the Ultimate version that includes all DLC, worth it.

Full disclosure, I bought my wife this game, and she played it more than I did, but I played it long enough to discover that this game is the best looking, blandest, brainless, shooter with the dumbest enemy AI, and most unlikable characters that I have ever experienced in any shooter. I'm so glad I did not buy 2 copies of this game, but I still wish I could've got the refund for the one. This game is polished turd.

This game is definitely more difficult than the first. I just finished on UltraViolence and its harder than Nightmare on Doom 2016. It has a few flaws (Marauder unbalanced, relying too much on platforming to give the player a break in between combat), but those flaws are outweighed by the things the game does right such as the weapons and combat, and even diving into the lore a little bit more. The combat is certainly more engaging, and intense. I will mention as others have said that the Marauder is flawed because he is a bit inconsistent to the flow of combat, and he demands all your attention or else he'll kill you in 2 seconds flat. That in of itself isn't terrible, but they start tossing him in with other heavies, and it's more frustrating than fun with the Marauder as a result. Other times when you die, it really is because you made a mistake, and you need to get better plain and simple. You have to think a lot more in this game than Doom 2016, and as many others have said it is like playing a game of chess with guns and chainsaws and an amazing heavy metal soundtrack. Outside of the 2 small gripes I have I honestly would give the game a 9/10.

Edit: I retract my earlier statements about the Marauder. Just because he is difficult doesn't mean he's unbalanced, and the purpose of the Marauder is to be essentially the doom slayer's equal. There's no easy solution to fighting him: you have to react quick, be tactical, and smart. If you learn how to master fighting him, the game becomes easier overall, but that mastery takes time, and I certainly have not reached that point yet. If you struggle with this game then turn the difficulty down and git gud scrub. :)

I have no idea what the hell people are complaining about! This game is highly optimized for pc, and has the best multiplayer I have played in a gears game. If you're on the fence just give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

9/10 would kill Antifa again.

If you are a fan of Descent in any way, this is the game you have been waiting for. This is truly one of the few early access games that I am glad I invested in.

As a huge fan of Descent, this is the type of game I would like to see more of.

I absolutely loved the beta, and now it runs even better than it did a few weeks ago. SLI scaling is great. I have 2 gtx 780's and on ultra getting 90-120 fps occasional dips into the 60's but always very playable framerate and performance. The game is a blast! Don't let all the whiners who were crapping on this game during the beta sway you from giving it a try. Very worth it.

After playing the campaign for a few hours, the gameplay is solid, graphics are amazing, and it's just a fun game. Don't expect a deep story, but its still just plain entertaining; all that doom needs to be.
