Starfield is an amazing game revolving around the transcredible exploits of main protagonist Bort Starfeld, a simple man raised by a pack of wolves on a planet light years from Earth after his spacer parents crashed their smuggling ship in uncharted territory. As he was raised by his feral parents he would often look to the sky under a dark canopy full of stars and wonder to himself "what's out there?" One night, Bort feeling restless while his pack slept, sneaked out and went exploring during a star-filled night and found himself in a cave filled with floating crystals and a strange metallic object, lodged in a large boulder, that seemed to call to him. The closer he got to the object, the greater the intrigue. Overcome with curiosity, he reached out to touch the object, and just as he did vivid visions of a giant, ancient, robotic alien race conquering and destroying galactic civilizations at the apex of their glory, one by one, throughout the entire galaxy over millions of years. Bort found himself caught up in fog of war, and through the fog in the distance, a towering presence approached. With each step closer the entity grew larger, and the earth beneath his feet increasingly shook. As the fog cleared a skyscraper size machine towered over him. Gazing down hundreds of feet below, the giant seemed to stare intently upon Bort. A deep, menacing robotic voice spoke inside his mind: "We have no beginning. We have no end. We are infinite. Millions of years after your civilization has been eradicated and forgotten, we will endure. We are legion. The time of our return is coming. Our numbers will darken the sky of every world. You cannot escape your doom." Being overwhelmed by the experience Bort fell to the ground, where he would remain for hours before regaining consciousness. He awakens to be greeted by a beautiful woman named Sarah, who tells Bort that they have been watching him for awhile and knew that he was special, that he was meant for something more than life as a wolf cub. She knew of the visions he had seen, and knew that it could lead to the greatest discovery in human history. "Bort," Sarah asks warmly, "How would you like to join The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?!...............Ya know, we're still working on a more progressive name for our group, especially since we're being led by a strong female character." Bort pondered for a bit, then confidently replied, "We could just call ourselves Constellation, since we're going to be exploring space and $hit." It was agreed by all this was the single greatest idea ever conceived by a female-led organization. And so from that moment on, Bort left his pack, and joined Constellation; to explore the vastness of space, visiting each and every planet they would find to collect as much random $hit as possible so he can turn around and sell it for enough money to get Sarah, and other ladies to notice him a little more often. Ladies in the future won't date guys who don't bring in $250K a year, which is far more than a wolf cub's salary. But Bort doesn't let that get him down, he works his damnedest to impress Sarah and next week Bort will finally have enough cash, and XP saved up to upgrade the sound system on his new ship! All the stolen notepads, juice boxes, and half-eaten sandwiches have finally paid off. He won't be able to outrun the po-pos, but he'll look, and sound pretty damn cool while doing it.

I give Starfield a 8/10. Hated it.
