I've been gaming nearly all my life; I started out with board games when I was a kid in the 70's. From there, I graduated to tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons and arcade games like Space Invaders and Pac Man in the early 80's.

As the arcades slowly disappeared and the tabletop roleplaying hobby began to fade away, I began to look for alternatives for gaming. I started getting into consoles in the 1990's (Super Nintendo), but it was still too limiting. My brother introduced me to PC gaming in May of 1998 at an internet arcade, playing Warcraft 2, Starcraft, and Baldur's Gate.

Finally, in May 2001, I got my first PC; a new Windows 98 machine with a 22" CRT monitor, a 1.3GB processor, 256MB of RAM, and an 80GB hard drive. With no more limits on my play time (save work and sleep), my time and money investment in PC gaming really exploded. I've never looked back, and I hope to be PC gaming into ripe old age.

Nowadays, I enjoy playing some of the later games, and my curiosity for the games along with my love of the hobby in general is as strong as ever.

My current setup; Windows 7 64bit OS, I-7 quad-core 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GTX980Ti 6GB vid card, 500GB SSD(boot drive), 2TB hard drive, RAT 7 Tournament edition gaming mouse, backlit keyboard, microphone-equipped gaming headphones.

I'm slowly, cautiously picking my way through the game. It's difficult, but I'm gradually getting through it, and I'm nearly to the end of "The Air-filled Tunnels." This is my first playthrough, and I've had to turn to some online walkthroughs to get me through some rough spots.

No complaints with this game.

It would be nice if there were more, and more modern, Cthulhu titles to play. I guess I'm stuck looking for peeps to play the tabletop roleplaying game with.

In any case, Dark Corners of the Earth is (as of this writing) the only true-to-Lovecraft computer game ever made. So if you're a fan of Lovecraft's novels (or if you just like scary games) you may want to pick this one up.

Oh, I've played my share of Atari back in the day - but I never actually owned one. Played the displays in Sears or over at a friend's house. And of course, there were a lot of Atari arcade-style games out there, that I played over the years. I miss the 80's...

Reached your profile I don't remember how :) Nice to read you've been playing for so many years... But no word on Amiga/Atari in the 90's? Don't tell me you've never used them :steamfacepalm:
