Released a pretty fun game years ago and took it down to release a slower, terribly controlled, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, more unbalanced, more cash-grab heavy game with garbage pve elements to follow even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trends in modern gaming. It actually used to feel pretty smooth that was one of the main things I liked about it. Literally what was the point in any of the time you spent, and why is it literally impossible for developers to have even a little bit of balance on release anymore. It takes one second to look at the characters and see "huh that hitbox is ridiculous" or "wow this character is 2x as fast as the rest with no downsides and equal kill power" like do you guys just input code all day and never play test it competitively?

Great game without mods. Amazing experience with them. The more you learn about how the game works and the tools you have the less it feels like luck is involved. I honestly hope they don't change anything and just keep adding different monsters and maps. Keep it janky and silly and focus on content. Don't try to polish it up too much because I love the gameplay loop and the way the items all work currently. I want a monster list so big I forget what I'm up against.

I have six monitors. One is on Khan Academy learning advanced differential calculus. One is on youtube, watching minecraft letsplays. One is on guild wars 2, and another is on hatoful boyfriend. The penultimate is NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, where I'm completing my fourth playthrough on local LAN co-op gameplay with my roommate's tri-monitored setup. The final screen is typically where I have my live stockmarket datastreams for quick market responses no matter what is going on in my life. Sometimes I sit there, staring at all the data at once, and know that I'm standing on the knife's edge only moments away from a full-blown seizure at any given moment, but as my eyes cross and the sweating begins, I know I wouldn't have it any other way

Being one of the only of it's kind, balancing this game is pretty rough. You have some casual players, and some who want competition, and then the fact that the game is, by engine, going to be biased towards survivor, with how many more survivor only players there are then killer. When you have a 4v1 asymmetrical game like this, majority of the playerbase will be that 4, so patches and balance tend to lean towards them, as they also complain the most. That being said, all things considered, including the spaghetti code, balance issues, bugs, and overall let downs of new content, I do think the devs are on their way to improving the game, just very slowly. Truthfully even as I said many bad things about it, the game is easily one of my favourites, and has only become more fun with the deeper knowledge gained from playing. I hope the developers continue to take risks rather than making small, insignificant changes, and aren't afraid to get backlash for making another strong killer or really shaking up the experience. We've already seen some mobile games that are clones of DBD, and they have some very interesting ideas. I personally, would love to see this genre explored outside of BHVR, but for now, they've done a pretty good.... Job so far.

For an even more fun and realistic experience, I recommend downloading RobZ Realism mod in the workshop.

If you can get past the difficult controls and sometimes absolutely useless inconsistant AI, then you'll find an RTS with good pacing, lots of variables and replayability (based off the fact that it's kind of a sandbox RTS), intense and fun moments and realism. There's a lot of attention to detail in this game, the buildings being almost all destructable is incredible, and being able to burn bushes and having it spread to houses or tanks etc is very cool. The base system for armor penetration and unit inventory in general is more complex than most RTS's I've played. There can be a frustrating learning curve when figuring out how to deal with strategies, specific units, and the complicated direct control sequences you must sometimes perform to plant down an artillery unit, rotate it, aim it etc. It's a hardcore experience where you can lose games within a few mistakes, or even just a lackluster beginning. I think the fact that the game has some features in it that are DLC but should be in the base game is kind of whatever, since it was cheap enough to warrant buying them. I love the map editor but it can be super confusing and difficult to use, still not entirely sure how to make them playable in multiplayer but the option is definitely there, and games with level editors are always amazing in my eyes.
