and perhaps once older, raise a mountain instead
and I do believe that in the heat that you fed
that I now know could no longer be retread,
I could've melted, molded, embed
turned forever into a painting of orange and red
and this my magnus opalescent golden thread
woven to my wiggling finger misled
to remember till the day I lay snuggly in my deathbed
the scarcely tangible, unshed,
magical nacre mandible of life we tread.
