The GenAI content sounds like trash honestly. There's no character in the slightest. If you can't be bothered to actually make a game then why should I be bothered to play it? There's zero excuse to not only use this technology for creative works but to put it in one of the most expensive DLCs to boot.

EDIT: Sony has changed this! There is no requirement for PSN accounts any longer! With no shackles to Sony's dogwater app I can only say good things about Helldivers 2!

PREVIOUS REVIEW:
Changed their policy to require a third-party account on a notoriously insecure platform, which their terms of service claimed was optional before the day the account was required. I super enjoyed my time with this game but will no longer be playing unless this account once again becomes optional.

A Legendary edition of a legendary trilogy, one of the most ambitious series out there in its best state yet. Legendary Edition is the definitive experience for the whole trilogy, with only a few new flaws:

-No multiplayer component of ME3
-Pinnacle Station is not enabled for ME1 (???)
-EA's launcher is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame

But these are minor issues in the grand scheme of things. ME1 has received some major tune ups to make it less of a chore to play, and 2 + 3 are looking better than ever. If you've ever been interested in the Mass Effect games, this is the best way to enjoy them bar none.

There's a few camera issues, but this game runs really well and it looks great! Really cute environmental puzzle game that's just so fun to explore that manages to be tense at points and even has cute robot friends.

A really lovely little plant-based puzzle game! Collect, sort and identify plants to help your clients with their requests, and maybe get wrapped up in trouble brewing in the background. It's a short game full of flavor, it'll probably take most people a few hours to beat but it's well worth a play and has multiple endings! I would absolutely recommend this game to pretty much anyone.

God I love this game! The story! The dieselpunk/wintery aesthetic! The music! Sweet *Jesus* the music! It's a really fun city building sim that keeps me coming back for more. I love the cold mechanics, I love the radial building placement, I love that you can click on your citizens to see how they're doing. I just love this game so much. Absolutely worth buying at full price just to support 11 bit so they can keep making masterpieces like this.

I love video games.

Okami was one of my first games on the PS2, and when I heard it was being released on the PC I was nothing short of overjoyed. What a gorgeous, wonderful adventure this game is. It's quite possibly my favorite game of all time, and with good reason. It looks stunning, the soundtrack is wonderful, the characters are well-written and it's all such a joy to play. It's not without its flaws, of course. What game doesn't have a few things wrong with it? I found some of the later dungeons a bit tedious, the game is strangely optimized, you can't speed up certain dialogues. But Okami is here to tell a story, and none of those problems ever kept me from crying when I reached the finale. It's inexpensive, it's heartwarming, and I could not possibly recommend this game more.

Here's to you, Okami, for the acclaim you deserved from day one.

I think this is probably the best game I've ever played. Or at the very least my favorite.

It's not perfect by a long shot, believe me. It's a complete deviation from anything you may know about Metal Gear (Kojima wasn't heavily involved with the development). Most of the support characters are boring and forgettable, the forced stealth sections are out of place and terrible, and f*ck if I know what the plot is.

But I don't care.

Within ten minutes of starting this game you're slashing a giant robot T-rex that's spitting missiles and plasma beams at you into a billion small pieces with a katana.

This game is sheer dumb fun and I love it.

Buy this game.

You will never regret it.

Looking back on the first review I wrote for this game back in early beta, it really is astounding how much this game has changed from when I originally bought it. It's almost a different game entirely. But honestly, that's okay. It's been a long journey from then to now, and it's been a pleasure each and every step of the way. It may just be me, but I've always been utterly enthralled by the idea of space exploration, and Starbound is an amazing way to scratch that itch. I love watching the stars turn around me as I sit in the cabin of my spaceship, the entire universe spread out before me. I love tromping through forests encased in a powerful mech. I love pulling myself by grappling hook between asteroids, mining the minerals from them to make better weapons and armor. It's not a perfect game, but what game is? A good game is one that's good despite its flaws, and while Starbound may not have hit that moon it was shooting for when it first came out, it certainly has landed among the stars.

tl;dr: Good futuristic sidescroller with nice planet and space exploration, scratches my space game itch very well.

+
= Very good-looking, well done art
= Base soundtrack is absolutely lovely, and very much gives the feeling of exploration
= Variety of weapon types to choose from
= Huge variety of biomes and micro-biomes to explore
= Map is practically endless, and planets are very good looking
= Massive amount of mods, from new races to gameplay tweaks

-
= Game suffers during endgame without mods and self-imposed goals
= Story is disappointingly short, but good
= Some weapon types are blatantly better than others
= Not a con per sae, but just to be safe if you're playing multiplayer, everyone involved needs to have the same mods. Can be tedious to put together mod collections or link them all
