Terraria is fun. Unfortunately, it kills your computer if you leave it alone for a while. Or background it. Or anything. I have never used another program that hard-locked my computer before Terraria. My hat is off to Redigit, like how the hell do you even do that.

I have posted this on Microsoft's website:

https://msrc.microsoft.com/report/vulnerability/

Amazingly (or not) Microsoft is so ****ing broken that their bug report system for critical vulnerabilities does not work. I will call them tomorrow.

For whatever reason, Steam blocked me from posting my full commentary, so I'm reposting it here in a different block.

If you are on WinXP or Win7, play Terraria, it's fantastic! But it does not appear to be compatible with modern operating systems. So if you use Win10+, stay away. It's not really supported anymore.

So, a couple people commented. Steam won't let me respond, so whatever. But I would like to address their responses, so - Yes! You are both right. In fact, I had a faulty mouse and for some reason that caused a huge amount of issues in multiple games. It was tricky because most games handle exceptions correctly and thus work fine even if your mouse is broken. Now that I have replaced my mouse, I no longer get these issues. But. The thing about when I leave Terraria unattended for a while, and it just takes over my computer, and all I can do is reboot? Yep, that still happens. I'd love to post a screenshot but since Terraria completely breaks my computer to the point that the only thing that works is ctrl-alt-delete, I can't take screenshots. It looks really weird though. Grass, weeds, flowers, etc. are present but no solid blocks.

Yeah uh, the game doesn't normally do that, that's an issue on your end specifically.
