Go in spoiler-free and just remember: This game is one and done. Once you beat it, there's no going back with a fresh mind. Your play-through is over. As the game intended. Because you don't progress to beat the game; you LEARN to beat the game.

It perfects the trope that most gaming companies try to utilize: curiosity. "Why did this thing happen? Where did it happen? And how do I go find out?"

You think it's just a silly little exploration game. It throws you into a cool spaceship and you just kinda fly around planet to planet. Pretty simple stuff...

Then the sun explodes. And then you start asking... "Wait, what just happened? Why did it happen?... And how do I go find out?"

Definitely one of the endgames of all time. But a great time getting there! More survival games need these building mechanics honestly though, super intuitive.

One of the best DLCs out there. Great story, well-written characters, and memorable side-quests.

Told my cult to cannibalize their fellow member. They did my bidding much to their horror. Little did they know, I had 25 coins up my fleece. It was enough for them to forget all about it, and they love me again.

KH1 kinda blows. Concept is cool, story is interesting, the mechanics are fun to use, but man the combat and camera is awful. It definitely has not aged well. To be fair, for the time period of this game when it came out, probably awesome to have played. I was really impressed with the graphics and design considering at the time it came out.

That being said, the worlds are confusing as hell and the Hollow Bastion/End of the World was some of the most infuriating moments I've had playing a video game. I've beaten all of the Dark Souls games with less rage than I had for those levels. I still had some fun with it and I am glad to have played it, but the latter half of this game was one of the few times I wanted to put the game down. As a whole though, right down the middle, but I'm happy to have finished it and appreciate it for what it was at time.

Currently on KH2 and liking the combat way more this time, will update review once I've beaten it, but initial review is positive on it...

P.S: Love the cheesy early 2000s music video and song though. These games are SO early 2000s and I love it.


The glow up is insane. Amazing game through and through. Worlds weren't confusing, the story got even more intriguing, and the combat was AWESOME. Definitely one of the greatest games honestly, it was a joy to play through and through. There were some BS moments in parts here and there but it can be overlooked rather quickly. Great time was had with KH2 and so glad that I was able to play and enjoy it!

Do not sleep on this game, definitely an underlooked gem that's got great combat mechanics and awesome boss fights/enemies. Story is eh, but the world is awesome.

Ever play Texas Hold'Em Poker but wish the blinds were astronomically large?

Ever play Pai Gow but don't want to worry about the two hands and win huge on the Fortune Bonus all the time?

You ever try drugs? It's okay, this game is just like crack cocaine.

If you like Roguelike Deckbuilds such as Slay the Spire and Inscryption, this is right up your alley. Just be prepared to not want to put it down. "Just one more hand..."

When the AI isn't being T1000 from Terminator, game is high quality and repayable fun. Much better with friends who are trigger happy and not fit to be in this profession.
