The PvP servers do not allow open world PvP. Both players must enter the "pvp state". Wasted 5 and a half hours getting to the pvp area only to learn this fact. Waste of an evening.

Early Access Review
Very fun game, currently the biggest issue in my opinion is that there are only two difficulties and to me they feel like "easy" and "easier" instead of Gladiator and Commoner. After my first two or three runs getting to grips with the controls and the basics of the game, I completed 4 of the backstories (which are the win condition) in a row, without losing a run.

One of the best games that I've ever played. The devs are so committed. All the people review bombing are just mad that the server is overloaded.

Great gunplay but awful spawns. I think this game would actually be popular if they fixed the spawning issues. In the PVP and PVE modes you can spawn right on top of enemies and they can spawn right on top of you. I was in a Domination PVP match and the enemy team managed to figure out all of our spawn locations and would wait until one of us spawned then instantly headshot us. No idea how something like this could even get passed the beta stages.

CS:GO Review
I mean it's CSGO. There's a ♥♥♥♥ ton of cheaters, especially now that it's f2p. New players will likely have an extremely difficult time even starting because it forces you to play one of the worst game modes in the game before you can do anything else. But at it's core, it's a fantastic game.

After a fair bit of time in the game I can tell you that most of the negative reviews I've seen are just people who didn't play enough to understand the core mechanics of the game. There is an extremely high skill ceiling and while some weapons may feel overpowered at first because they are easier to pick up than others, you'll eventually realize that no weapon is overpowered.

The frontline game mode can be quite unbalanced due to horses and catapults as well as the occasional TK from unaware or unskilled allies, it is still an extremely fun game mode that makes you feel like you're in the middle of a medieval warzone.

Horde mode is also quite fun, with increasingly difficult waves in a COD zombies style mode where if you learn the mechanics you can beat the entire mode alone is quite appealing, but it has a different type of skill and combat than the PvP game modes.

The main draw of the game for me are the dueling servers. There you can "git gud" in 1v1s. It is so satisfying to go from being able to barley parry attacks to 60 odd hours later you're no longer falling for feints, you can stand up to all of the weapons new players consider OP, your parrys and chambers are executed flawlessly most of the time, you realize the "animation abusers" are actually handicapping themselves in high level play and you're reking noobs left and right.

Not to mention the game isn't exploitable like chivalry.

Currently my all time favorite game, I see myself getting 1k+ hours. 10/10

Let me start off by saying that this game has great potential, if only they can fix some balancing issues. I thoroughly enjoy rogue-likes. Risk of Rain is probably my favorite rogue-like and I've heard that this game draws a lot from that one. The main difference between the two is that no matter what items you get in risk of rain, if you are skilled you can almost always have a good run, even with mediocre luck. In this that is not the case. You inventory can become filled with useless junk and even if you have a few dupluicates if you don't get an altar to combine them at then you still stuck with early game gear until you can find an altar. The bosses are in some cases completely ridiculous, hitting you with things that are undodgable and some times completely random. As an example of this when you're fighting the medusa boss lightning strikes can spawn from either side and will always hit you if you're in the middle or the side that it spawns on, so you just have to hope the lightning doesn't spawn near you. It doesn't seem to matter where you or the boss is when this happens. The game also has an extreme amount of artificial difficulty. You can only aim in 8 directions, while many enemies are capable of freely aiming, which puts you at a huge disadvantage simply because the game will not allow you to skillfully aim your shots, instead you must position yourself at the correct angle. Potions are another piece of artifical difficulty. Instead of telling you what potions do, they are randomized each run. On one run a blue potion will heal you, on the next it may poison you. This takes away from letting you plan what to do and ultimately makes potions unusable since you're often not at full health when you need to test/need your potions. The enemies also seem very strange in that the weakest enemies will still do about the same amount of damage as the harder enemies and it feels like they forgot to change this to give better variety. This game has amazing potential if it is rebalanced and the artificial difficulty is removed. Until then I cannot recommend the game.
