P.S: As a sidebar for peripherals, I have tried a few keyboards that were not mentioned above, including the Keychron Q1 and KBD67liteR3, but the ones listed are what I use the most. Reasoning is based on how I feel on using them, and not just how the build quality is or how it may be considered top tier keyboards. My go-to keyboard is the EVO70 R1 since I like its unique style and low latency. This is just what I prefer.

This could be said about gaming mice as well, with the G303S being what I primarily use instead of the popular G Pro X Superlight. There can be a 'best for everyone' kinda mouse out there, but again, this is my personal preference. I tried some Razer mice including the Viper Ultra and Viper Mini, but I know which mice I prefer.

If you like Steelseries mice, cool. While hardware can play a role on how it will perform while gaming, especially competitive games, the limitation is on how you use it, and if you like it or not. Do your own research, try them out, return them if you don't like them. I once tried a Corsair M65, or something of a similarly named mouse back in the day. The main reason why I did not like it and returned that mouse was because it was a laser mouse and it has a laser mouse flaw: hardware acceleration. As soon as I experienced this, I returned it immediately and got my hands on a Logitech G502. From there I used other mice, kept a few, gave some away, but had a decent experience with them in any case.

Bottom line: use what you are comfortable with. Sure, you can get used to using the “#1 gaming mouse” out there, but why put the mental strain on yourself if you yourself feel as though something is off or if you just don't like it? Be the best gamer/PC user you can be by being honest with your natural preferences and needs, or just be honest with yourself. Whatever feels right to you. If it’s not fun, why bother?
