I'm going to start this off by saying I don't like MMOs.

I've played WOW, Tera, SWTOR, Mabinogi, and nearly anything else. I don't like them. I'll spend a few weeks on them, tops, before quitting and forgetting about them.

Why then, is FFXIV my second most played game on steam, with nearly two hundred hours at the time of this writing, and I'm itching for more?

I dunno. Is it the stellar graphics, welcoming community, wonderful music, or the great storyline reminiscent of the FF games from before?

I don't know for sure. All I do know is that I love this game. I love every moment I've played in it, and I can't wait to keep playing. This community is a breath of fresh air compared to many, many other online communities. This game is wonderful, with so much to do and see. I've got nearly 200 hours in this game and I haven't even beaten the expansion yet. Most games today end around 20 hours. FFXIV is looking to be much, much more than that.
