Skyrim has returned in all its glory!

Once again you can explore Tamriel's northern province, and save it as the Dragonborn. Explore all of Skyrim's environments, from lush forest, to snow-covered tundra, from dark dungeons to beautiful sunsets. Help the Companions fight the Silver Hand; become adept at living beyond the law with the Thieves Guild; and become irritated at Cicero's voice with the Dark Brotherhood. Come relive all your favorite Skyrim memories from the last five years and create many more in the Special Edition.

In this re-release of the fifth installment of Bethesda's long-running, open-world "Elder Scrolls" series, players are treated to better graphics, and other graphical tweaks like depth of field and "god-rays". While no new content is involved, the Special Edition is a 64-bit application, and as such can make use of more than 3 Gb ram when installing mods with it.

If you enjoyed Skyrim the first few hundred hours you played it, prepare to spend a few hundred more! If you had the original game and all of its DLC before the Special Edition came out, you received this game for free, otherwise, it is priced for all.

Should you buy it? If you already own the original, that all depends. If you value cosmetic advances and don't mind the cost, then absolutely. If you feel the lack of new content doesn't warrant purchasing it, then perhaps hold off.

If you have never played Skyrim: then of course you should get this. Skyrim, an open-world RPG in an immersive world filled with intrigue, mystery, and awe, is good for literally hundreds of hours of entertainment and provides a fantastic open-world experience, which you can further improve with the hundreds of mods available (for the original, and soon for this one) which add armor, weapons, quests, new lands, and more.
