very repetitive and mediocre. fun for a few hours but due to the random nature, the runs are either too easy to the point of being boring, or genuinely impossible. only a few different "builds" are possible and require complete randomness to put together. the characters have very little difference between them and do not feel rewarding to unlock.

all in all, very shallow enjoyment to be had, and honestly more possibilities of just being annoyed by the lack of variety and the fact that player agency is close to non-existant. 4/10

just a little too random. if an element or two of randomness was removed it would probably be one of my favorite games, but as ive grown older ive lost patience for games that waste your time with rng.

great game if you can stand losing pretty often to rng.

devs are toxic and childish. build your community and livelihood around this game, but DARE to criticize it? they punish you and target you directly lmao literally like elementary school bullies who happen to lead a game company

i personally dislike games the rely heavily on randomness. if you do not like games that have randomness as a part of their core and fundamental values, then u probably wont like this one.

i enjoy every other part of the game though, so its a bummer. i just dont appreciate a game that doesnt respect the time i invest into it.

the last straw for me was a mission where nobody else in my party but my healer was hit. not a single enemy hit anyone else on my team except the boss, who hit other people once. this means that my healer was hit over 20 times lol i realized on this mission that there was actually nothing i could have done to prevent that, and then realized i wasnt having fun.

so i stopped playing.

if u can deal with random stuff like that happening though, totally play it. its fun.

progression system sucks and makes the entire game feel hollow and like a cash grab.
(they just updated the progression and while it is more giving in terms of xp gain, there is barely anything to be acquired for free and there is no alternative path to acquiring "premium" items other than buying the battle pass.)

gameplay is actually good, but for me personally everything is way too punchy. the whole game is audio and visual overload and gives me an actual headache.

impossible to feel immersed or role play or anything. feels really terrible and gamey. dissatisfying

As others have stated, the game was a completely different beast before they removed weapon sway and introduced Gunslinger. It is now a twitch shooter that feels the same as every other FPS game on the market.

I would have argued that this game was more nuanced and complex and difficult than other "BR-like" games available right now, and fought to the death to take the Battle Royale title away from this game (because it is a genre fraught with terrible games), but it feels exactly the same as every other Battle Royale game and, as such, I suppose that is exactly what it is.

If you were watching gameplay of this game from months ago and loved what you saw, just stay away. It isn't the same game and the developers don't appear to have any intentions of changing it back to what it once was. If you want to play Fortnite with less players and some PvE bosses, come on in.

I personally feel completely cheated by the developers and have requested a refund, though I'm sure it will be automatically denied due to play time. Shame on Crytek for having no backbone or integrity. Shame on them for advertising this game for a year as something different than they intended it to be come launch.

The worst game in the series, but still a good game.
