The game is far from perfect and IMO too similar to the first one, however it's still a good game and everything is fun with friends, even when the game becausme a glitchy rave.

It's like a successor to Helldivers.

Edit: I can once again play without a PSN account. Glad too see Sony withdraw their demand of forced PSN linking. Hopefully our fellow helldivers from 117 countries without PSN where the game is currently not for sale on steam will again be able

Edit again: Excuse me but what the f*ck Sony?

Game itself is genuinely amazing with devs that actually respond, but the publisher is questionable at best
forced PSN account requirement may have gotten removed, but 180 countries can't purchase/play the game. Since Sony appears to be unwilling to make HD2 globally available again I can no longer in good faith recommend this game. Shame a fun game and good team is to be held back by their publisher.
