Between the unfinished state, the bugs and doubious name changes with rereleasing the quasi same title before finishing what they have started, I cannot recomment this game.
It is also very grindy but you can have some fun with it.

Not much of a game, but the little sound effects are really relaxing

I like the new tutorials that actually help you to improve your game and build orders, but I am a bit sad that the teutons are so bad.

When it comes to a coop experience it is nearly as good as Alien Swarm. Dare I'll say in some points it is even better, because you are not forced to have a certain class in any mission.

on the other hand the main drive to play together is to avoid getting swarmed by enemies. That is okay, but in my opinion some functions like picking up read sugar to help, allowing dwarfes to stand on antother and such things could really elevate the coop to an even better level.

The roadmap states that they plan on implementing Modsupport. For me this is often far more important than the game itself (I am all for making an experience as much to my liking as possible and enjoy other ppls creative takes on a game). But after the insulting lie fatshark pulled with vermintide 2 I am a bit more causious nowadays. Even if the creators are not affiliated with fatshark.

An other important part are grinding dynamics. The game has some bad grinding in the lategame for the last weapon upgrades that are reducing the players experience but nothing on the level of vermintide (which is a pretty similar game in a lot of parts). Still I would have prefered if equipment would be more on the variant than on the upgrade side of things. Skill is important, but if you are not extremly invested or have very fast reflexes you will see that equipment matters more in this game.

The character editor with the great ensamble of beards that can be varied and combined is just epic. I have a lot of fun playing just with that.

The rig where player come together and the join mechanics in games are exeptional good and decent. Only missing a shooting/digging range to experiment with new gear.

map and enemydesign is above what I would expect from a game like this, but I would love a few more mechanics to spice up an individual run (or a good mod support either will do).

Finally I really like the way they produce dlc. So far they put just cosmetics in bundles up that have a very fair price range (compared to tf2, or Vermintide). No dlc that splits the player base (like guns of icarus) or cool cosmetics are only available after days of grinding without paying nonsense.

Overall it game concept that really feels like a prototyp clone and not a really good one. It has a lot of the same problems while not beeing so great at the things prototype really shined (movement).
The saving graces are the Lotr World and the Nemesis System. But given that they have made a patent off that, while beeing otherwie a complete ripoff makes it hard to say something good about it.

I don't like the p2w elements.
Also even without that, no player spawns in equally, so it is less about skill, tactics and lock and more about grind.
Some of the basic mechanics are fun for a short while, but better executet in some .io games (althougth the crapdesigns are nice).

I like the magic system, but I lost interest in the world pretty quickly. It feels everything feels more like things to destroy and less like an rpg world.

it is a small game, but well worth the price. At times it can be a bit too much based on luck, as most rouge likes are.
I really like some of the little story bits and how good it feels to manage engergy and crew.
Also there are mods for this game, that can alter the experience a bit adding to the alreade quite impressive replayvalue.
Not to mention they made a very big free update, with new mechanics, weapons, missions etc.
It is well worth the price.

I played it way back. Wanted to start playing again a few weeks ago, sadly the mailprovider I used, was deleted since then, so I couldn't logg in because of the PIn system for new loggins. I wrote to the support, they said i didn't have an acount and viola it got deleted.
For a service game, that is some bad service.
