Dragon Ball z Xenoverse 2

PROS:

1. You can play as a extremely wide variety of characters, hero’s and villains alike!

2. You fight to level up and winning any fight is extremely satisfying with its fight grade system.

3. Character creation is amazing and expansive allowing for *almost* infinite combinations.

4. Choose from Earthling, Saiyan,
Namekian, Frieza race, Majin Race.

5. You can ask for a plethora of characters to act as your mentor, giving you positive or negative feedback after every fight depending on your grade. (There’s some that are hilarious).

6. The moment when you become so powerful that you *****slap the god of destruction into submission is so satisfying that it almost make up for the fact I haven’t seen my family in 3 weeks.

7. Your character learns new transformations and moves the more they level up and train just as they would if you were really training.

8. Gameplay is intense, fast, and sometimes can be over in the blink of an eye if enough power and technique is exerted, a lot like a virgin on prom night.

9. The art style is amazing and really makes you feel like you’re in the Dragon Ball universe.

CONS:

1. The game is open but it has limitations, you have to travel portals in between sections of the map, kinda like old school monster hunter. This isn’t bad but I feel a larger open map would be beneficial and would leave the scouter gameplay aspect great enough detect any players that may be hurt and hiding in various areas of the map.

2. There are some times where the grind is real, once you get up in levels all fights are quite challenging but to level up without friends to make sure you can pass harder fights in the future is a pain.

3. DLC money grab, there’s so much DLC it’s kinda crazy. Of course you do not have to have any of this DLC to fully enjoy this game. But those hardcore fans like myself will find themselves shoveling out quite a bit of money just to 100 percent This game, I would like to see a discount for the DLC packs or maybe a way to unlock them with I game currency.

4. Party system is fine but I would prefer that if you are in a party, you could see your party mates in the hub world. This would help with friends guiding you where to go if your stuck on where to train or what to do and it would be nice to show off your characters look with your friends without having to worry about being blindsided by An enemy who wants nothing more than to make you squeal like a piggy.

FINAL VERDICT;

This game is absolutely amazing with its vast and almost perfect gameplay. You feel like a Bad Mother F***er fending off and defeating the exact same monstrous villains we grew to fear when we were watching DBZ growing up. Nostalgia for DBZ is enough to buy and play this game.
As for new fans of the series there’s plenty in here to keep the newbies busy and entertained for weeks. This is truly a beautiful and action packed game that will leave any fan speechless wanting more.
