This game is great. Bought the original PA in early access and played like 150 hours. This is the same with a dash extra and it's still great. Not sure what all the butt-hurts are crying about. This is total annihilation + super mario galaxy. a great fresh take on what is normally the boring also-ran genre of RTS. This would be a great game to offer a demo of so you can decide for yourself, but those days are long gone...

Since this is an Early Access review - I'll just say that the developers have done an accurate job (I feel) of stating exactly what to expect and where the game is in development. Pretty spot on regarding the current abilities of the build. That said, it is equally spot-on in terms of its source material, and this does feel like a soon-to-be bigger and better version of games we've played in the past.

Since I've played TA, Sins, PA, supcom, starcraft, etc, I felt right at home, so maybe here's hoping they put their own twist or spin on it as it goes forward. They certainly brought something familiar and fresh with Sins, so I hope they can do it again with a SupCom clone.

This is not just the best metal gear game (in my opinion), it's also a terrific game, period. I am not a big MGS fan. I played and enjoyed 4, but found 1, 2 & 3 to be unplayable compared to my Thief (more suspensful stealth) or Deus Ex 1 (more options). However, with this game I feel like I felt playing Thief for the first time or DX1 for the first time. It feels genuinely new and fresh, even though it's in a familiar open world wrapper. Speaking of "open world" - this is the only such game that feels like the open world is necessary, not a talking point, outside of GTA (looking at you assassin's creed).

Highly subjective but that's what these are. If you like stealth, customizing your approach, gear, squad, base - this game will blow you away. Oh, and it's more engaging than any movie I've seen in a long time. Definitely a classic.

This is perfect even in its early access state to capture that true rally cross feel (it's different from other racing games). I've been waiting for a replacement for an old rally game I played the crap out of on original xbox and this is that and so much more. Cannot wait until they finish building out the hill climb mode.

*5/2/15 I have flipped this to positive since paid mods have been put on hold, but I'll be watching along with the rest of the internet*

As an ethical capitalist I will not support such myopic, banal, cynical and destructive greed. "Hey that artist bought my paints and canvas and sold a painting! Where's my 75%?"

I understand why many people like this game but I like complex strategy games. This game is overly simplistic and unimaginative (the same missions are repeated all the time). That and the encounters are random of the "just throw dice" kind. One disaster or misstep and it's back to square one rather than the fun of trying to come back from behind. That coupled with the crap graphics and UI made this just a distraction rather than a game I would enjoy and return to repeatedly.

most of the games I buy on Steam I don't even play - this is my first early access game and it is plain great! There are issues, but if you were a Total Annihilation fan back in the day then just get this! It's TA and mario galaxy in one game!

Issues - mostly the server lags, so often even in single player games you might drop to .5 fps or less. (I have an i7 hexa-something and 64 gb ram and an nvidia 780 or something) Yet, I kept playing. Through the lag. That is weird.

Issues - It's unfinished so probably will get so much better. I've only owned it since the galactic war update and already they've added in an improved version with harder AI (AI gets predictable though)

Issues - I imagine we would have a finished game already if it wasn't early access. You pay to slow the process down no doubt.
