Good Bomberman take on battle royale. Still has rooms (plural) for improvement but the game has a lot of potential.

Imo the characters from premium pass should be unlockable by playing the game as opposed to being exclusive to the pass. Don't worry though, the based bombermen are more than good enough to win games with even if you don't have access to premium bombermen that aren't on free rotation.

Panzer Paladin is a very enjoyable retro-modern action platformer. This becomes even more true if you enjoy the old school robot anime aesthetics or if the prospect of a mech traveling all over the world to duke it out with mythological monsters excites you. If that doesn’t rock your boat, that’s fine too. The game still has interesting mechanics such as the weapon spell system and the last chance mode that allows you to play as Flame, the pilot, to fall back on. Level designs, visually interesting backgrounds, and great music are also something that I would like to add to that list. Not all is fine and dandy as there are still kinks to be ironed out such as certain parts of the exclusive non-mech sections and oversight on inventory system that hinders the overall depth that game could have had. Regardless, Panzer Paladin is a homage to the games of old that I will heartily recommend to any action-platformer and mech enthusiasts that welcome the past.

Mark Twain once said, “there is no such thing as a new idea.” That anything original by today’s standard is more of the right combination of pre-existing ideas. Many video games these days are not much different in that regard. We see a mixture of many genres with quite a bit of success like Borderlands, a looter shooter that has adopted some aspects of RPGs into its primarily FPS gameplay, or Dead Cells which has beautifully woven together Metroidvania and rogue-like style of games. This is the direction that I had presumed that Giraffe and Annika are going for. I was wrong, dead wrong. Either that or something went off the rail so much that it strayed from the original intent. Giraffe and Annika, despite its effort to give a cute and soothing experience, comes off as frustrating due to the unsuccessful mash-up of genres or lack-thereof further weighted down by many rough edges of unpolishedness.

For full review of KILL la KILL IF or other games visit: https://saveorquit.com/2019/08/29/review-kiill-la-kill-if-pc/

Final paragraph taken from the review:

The PC version of Kill la Kill IF is a hard sell. The lack of content outside the story which is further worsened by dead online mode cuts hard into replayability. Story mode that, while serviceable to some degree, is unnecessarily fragmented with battles that fail to take into consideration the limitation and flaws of the existing core mechanics and gameplay. Bugs that will hamper your overall experience of the game and destroy a good chunk of immersion. Even the fantastic visual and solid gameplay that it does have cannot possibly hope to carry these gargantuan flaws. In fact, this port is on the verge of being crushed to death. Even as a fan of Kill la Kill, I cannot in good faith recommend the PC port of Kill la Kill IF. Had these bugs not exist, this would have gotten a save-for-later rating. Get the console version instead.

Double Cross is undoubtedly a good game. It features good level design, fun characters, and extra stories make this title all the more endearing. One can really tell that 13AM Games has fun with this game which is always a good sign. If not for the slightly less responsive control when compared to other platformers and some small polishing issues, I strongly believe that this game has the potential to go further beyond. This is an excellent game that oozes with love and filled with heart from its creator, and even though I dub it as “good”, it is at the highest echelon of that category with just micro centimeters away from being great. The year 2019 is definitely off to a good start.

For more a detailed text/video review, visit https://saveorquit.com/2018/11/09/review-lethal-league-blaze/

Lethal League Blaze is what a sequel of a video game should be. It refines the formula of what works from its predecessor, then adds mechanics on top but not to the point of overwhelming the players. The gameplay is as strong as ever. With a seamless transition to 3D, while retaining the original 2D animation visuals, it has opened the doors to possibilities that the original could only dream of. There are even extras that the game would honestly be perfectly fine without but are added nonetheless to enhance the experience like costumes, secret costumes, and easter eggs. Minor problems like the rarely-occurring server issues and the somewhat lackluster tutorials are present but they are something more of a small hindrance. Let’s not also forget that this whole product only costs $19.99. I am willing to pay that amount just for the soundtrack! If you like Pong, if you like good music, if you like fighting games, if you like cool and wacky characters, if you like high-speed chaotic mayhem, well then do yourself a favor and pick up Lethal League Blaze.
