Just finished my third campaign, and I'm already excited to go again!

The combat is fun, because there are so many different abilities to discover and experiment with. While playing with a balanced party is advantageous, I've ended up in some satisfying battles using two hunters and two mystics because the warriors were busy with another event.

I also enjoy being able to build up a legacy of heroes that I can recruit again for other campaigns. Sometimes it's difficult to remember what company a particular hero first fought with, because they've been there through many times of peace and times of combat.

The game not only provides romantic attachments (with unexpected benefits), but you also run into situations like rivalry, where two warriors might constantly be trying to one up each other.

The best part of the game has to be the stories. You decide which choices you want to make, and the outcomes can turn out to be surprising. More than that, those events can become a lasting part of your hero's history, changing them in ways that might unexpectedly be a blessing rather than a curse.

I'm also amazed by how many different lines of dialog are built into a given event, which are based on a character's personality. If they're a coward, they might shudder and say "That crystal… it’s like an eye, watching me wherever I go..." A greedy hero might focus on how much the crystal is worth, while a snarky character might mention how much it would tick off another party member if they take the crystal instead of leaving it.

In short, the developers have created a very impressive game, especially considering that it's still early access, and I look forward to more stories that they, as well as the workshop community, will add to the game.
