I highly recommend this game. The learning curve can be steep at first. They recently added a tutorial that is really good but also leaves some information that you can find on your own from learning.

They have options that you can turn off if you do not like them. These are not artificial difficulties spikes like Phasmophobia.

They add mechanics that change the ghosts behavior by making them smarter. Adding in additional ritual steps that can be turned off if you don't like them or are still learning the game.

It is early access and still has bugs. Those bugs are frustrating at times. For example the floor eating your incense. Damn floor goblins. And from other peoples post some hosting issues.

There are jump scares but you can turn down the volume on them.

And the optimization updates they have done lately have improved the stability of the game and it can only get better from here.

The game play is great and immersive with the rituals. The evidence finding isn't frustrating like other games in this category. For example ghost writing is much easier to get. The only evidence I can complain about is freezing temps. I genuinely love this game and can't wait for the future as they have big plans!
