Half Life 2 is a great continuation of Half Life 2, where it falls a bit flat with its lack of enemies and weapons, it does a darn good job with its physics engine. Despite its clunky behavior, is still a fundamental part of the experience. The gun play, while nothing groundbreaking, feels good, enemies are smart enough to pose a problem, but nothing feels too easy or hard. The layout of levels does feel a bit odd at times with areas having no proper access when delegated purely to decoration and breaks immersion a bit. Graphics are decent but I have some problems with low resolution objects in areas you are meant to go, think, Black Mesa East, some areas around the coast and Nova Prospekt. Sound design and music is pretty good, giving a good feeling to whatever you are doing (except exploring, which usually has no music). Get the game now, it is pretty darn good.

The Elder Scrolls Arena is a great game for the beginning of a long lasting series, the meager lore it started remains relatively consistent throughout when looked back at it through the lenses of people who played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. Some minor things change in regards to retcons but that might to be expected. The reason I do NOT recommend playing this game, however, is rather simple. Even after some patches, there are some bugs that are gamebreaking. Let me describe it simply, if you decide to go on a quest for a ruler (found in the palaces of each town), you might be blocked off in some areas due to the procedural generated nature of the game. You can get around this somewhat with a passwall ability but that shouldn't be NEEDED to get through. Furthermore, the quests have a huge design oversight that is unforgiving, if you fail to perform the quest, the ruler will never give you one again (on top of their gender and appearance changing, from king to queen, from princess to prince. etc.). I agree this is an important game in history of electronic games, in this case with a video display, but the listed issues above are enough for me to not recommend this game. I enjoyed it, but it isn't for everyone.

Early Access Review
Although I absolutely think this recreation of Half Life 1 is a much more polished, more intense and is a nice addon to the half life universe (albeit it being non cannon), I find the OVERPOWERED damage you take by..... anything, sucking away the joy of the game. The Alien Slaves (Vortigaunts) do a whopping 52 damage, headcrabs about 21. This was on HARD difficulty, which is still NOWHERE near 'fair'. This is NOT an acceptable amount of damage. To quote Freeman's Mind creator (Freeman's Mind is a video series about the supposed inner monologues of Gordon Freeman) Ross Scott: "I don't play games as a test of my honour" I feel this game wants to test me, not my actual skills, not my intellect, not my reflexes, but instead, my patience. Time after time after time, i have been killed because of an attack that takes half my health away, that would be ok if it was coming from an enemy like the Garguantuas, but not from anything smaller. I dont know how to end this so I just say this, this is a game like a seller that lures you with gorgeous gemstones, then stabs you with a katana.
