Gaming is not worth your time friend.


Games started to lose their gaming core when big corpos sniffed a lot of money can be made. Remember horse armor? Since then, their evolution (slowly) progressed to change games into products. Service. And in reality make gamers living piggy banks. You probably observed it yourself -if you are perceptive- that gaming culture is different. Not necessarily in good way. Big companies making games treat us as numbers, segmenting us like a cattle based on many different factors, implementing political agendas into their marketing strategies just to sell more copies of their buggy product. DLC's. DLC's at the price of base game. Loot-boxes. Grinding/farming. Gamers not owning games they buy. Developers turning off online servers whenever they feel like it. $80 for base game (and will be more in the future). Pay to win or gain advantage. Pre-orders. Day-1 60GB patches. Paywalls. Skyrocketing "gaming" hardware prices. Micro-transactions preying on youth. Season-passes that feels like second job to finish. Single-player which needs constant online connection. In short: corporate greed.

Gamers keep forgetting that they can force things with their wallets, but i experienced it many times that we won't unite. Ever. It's pointless to expect change for better in foreseeable future. That's not gaming culture i want to be in. I quit. There are more pleasant activities out there to enjoy in spare time.

You can always earn more money friend, but you can't get your time back. And sunken costs will only pile up the longer you stay. Thank you for reading my rant.
