found this game by chance and i have to admit that it feels good. the missions scale well helping the player to learn what works and what not. still a long way to go to complete the game and i'm enjoying every aspect of it!

i've tried this game too many times. strategic portion good, good brigade building system, good perk and evolution, very good system of national support and possible actions. fantastic politic system, very convoluted and difficult to comprehend economics that are ok left on automagement.
tactical portion of the game? i started over so many campaigns trying to make it work. brigades are utterly incompetent to react on tactical situations, delayed orders are a mess, the AI will slip 5 brigades behind your lines while your reaction force adjacent to your hq will start to move 5 minutes after the enemy already started to open fire from the positions your reaction force were positioned to prevent. charges on routed enemies are pointed to the ground were the enemy was making charges an infuriating exercise.
if this game had the simple mechanics of ultimate general civil war in the tactical portion it would be a wonderful game.
But like this?

the game is fantastic but this version has a game breaking bug in which 1 or 2 settlements cannot be captured.
many mission requires you to capture all settlements and this break the game in every campaign.

if you like battle for europe mode and skirmish no problem, but is painful and frustrating to retry the same campaign mission 4 times and the last village will not flip

left this on a shelf after 10 hours because some things i didn't like.
i come back and everything is smoooooooth

9/10 if you have time

i've had a really good time with this!
for 8 bucks this is a must have.

a true masterpiece. the music is awesome, the game also.

game is good.
landmarks maybe are a bit odd. some of them cost too much for what they do or are simply not usable.
UI is simple and when you understand what to search very useful.
games are over in 1-3 hours and very different thanks to many empires.
Relics are really a waste of time, only a few are good and they are totally random. nice addition however.
for this price is really a good addition to my library.

not a huge fun of japanese lolitas stories but this one was not terrible and the game pretty solid.

For the next kickstarter the devs will have my 10 bucks

Played it alot. i was in search of something more free, with wider strategical choices and deeper immersion, but the game is fun and really take you back to original x-com.
The missions are good, but in the long run you feel like all the world don't want to help you against an alien invasion.
The game is very focused on tactical combat, the overral quality is above average but utterly fails in involving the player in an epic anti-alien crusade for freedom of all humanity.

I recommend it for the fans of the original series of x-com. Who is in search of something modern and more immersive you will have to wait.
