I was a closed NDA protected beta tester, I've followed and backed this game through its 5 v 5 multiplayer phase. I've supported this game through the grey-box levels and years of ambiguity around if it was ever going to release or not. I've been a supporter and been behind these devs, since I first saw the original trailer.

I grew up playing SWAT, a similarly dark, and real presentation of LEO and SWAT. A game that doesnt pull any punches and intentionally tries to leave the player with a pit in their stomach, and since this game was announced VOID promised to bring us that same, gut wrenching game. This game isnt suppose to make you feel good. You are not suppose to be a badass. You are a man being presented with the worst humans in the world, on the worst days of their lives. I should not have that toned down and spoon fed to me. This was the first game in YEARS to have the balls to present "realistic" situations LEOs have to see monthly, weekly, and in some cases daily.

This game respected the player, respected the real sources it was pulling from by not pulling punches, by not babying itself down to be palatable. When being presented with the themes, story and tone that this game is trying to show us you are losing the point when you censor and remove things for idea making the game more palatable or conforming to console standards, you are diminishing and ruining the exact ideals you were striving to convey in the first place.

A game like this is not for everyone nor should it be, this game should not coddle you. A game depicting the horrors of the world we live in today being censored is removing its value as art and is returning it to be just another piece of wannabe milsim slop being pushed to store fronts along with the babified Call of Duty's and Battlefield's of late. Something like this is not made to hide from the realities of the world. Its created to confront, understand, and overcome those horrors
