Are you looking for exciting gameplay? Deep narrative? A deeply rewarding experience?

Then look elsewhere.

Timberman is a cheap arcade title, that while good, is meant for short bursts of playtime.

Gameplay is simple; use the left and right arrow keys to cut down the tree on either its left or right side. As the tree comes down, so do branches and you must move to avoid getting hit by them as you chop. A stamina bar that constantly drains means you can't do this slowly either. The fun is trying to keep up a good pace without knocking yourself out.

This is supported by a nifty looping 8-big track, and a wide variety of unlockable characters to keep things fresh. Don't like the lumberjack? Unlock a mummy, a jack o'lantern, or versions of the Hulk, Bruce Lee or Freddy Krueger (under different names of course).

Oh, and there is also online multiplayer were you compete to see who can cut the most wood or last the longest in a set of rounds.

The game is worth the cost just to have a little game when you need to kill a few minutes or just want to goof off and not play anything serious. Super solid wood cutting recommendation.
