Nice little puzzle game,
the voxel graphics work well,
a bit on the expensive though (with current cost of living crunch).

A nice and simple little Lego game.
Short to complete, but no real replay-ability once you've 100%.
Definitely wait for a sale or a price drop if you want this,
it's not really worth the $43AUD price tag.

Way too overpriced and the game engine feels and responds like it's 10 years out of date.

This a poor attempt to recapture the glory days of CoH and CoH2.

The Italian campaign is a badly combined mash-up of 2 separate game systems. It's slow and unwieldy at best and has an over-reliance on random generated "Vs AI" short skirmishes to pad out combat and hide the lack of actual content.

The Afirka Korps campaign is ok story-wise, but has way too few missions by CoH and CoH2 standards.

I can't recommend the game in it's current state at this price.
If you must have this game, definitely wait for it to go on Sale for a sizeable discount.

6 Month Re-visit Review:
Ok, where to start.

After the last six months, Fatshark have fixed a sizeable number of issues with the game, but the main issues with match-making still remain.
Talent trees still need some fine-tuning, but are in a better state then they used to be

And in getting to this point Fatshark burnt a lot of this goodwill of players in getting here, If they continue to least listen to player concerns and address said concerns where possible then they may just turn this around.

In this current state, I still can't recommend it, but things are improving and I'll review again at the 12 month point for final thoughts.

Original Release Review:
Way over hyped, very little delivered.

As a longtime 40K fan, I've let a lot of ♥♥♥♥ slide for half decent 40K game.
This sadly isn't even a half decent game. It looks impressive but that it, its glitchy and unstable as hell. You're lucky to 30 to 40 minutes of play before crashing out.

And most sad of all the only thing truly working as it should is the exclusive currency (irl cash) store.

To go from Vermintide 2 to this, isn't just one step backwards. It's to fall backwards down three flights of stairs and land in pile of steaming cow manure.

It's just plainly atrocious.

Huge disappointed by this title, feels more like a first-person perspective of MechCommander then a MechWarrior Mercs.
Graphics are nice but the UI / cockpit interface just doesn't feel right. Lancemate AI is terrible, friendly mech often put themselves between you and the enemy you're trying to shoot, getting themselves destroyed in the process.
Input responses are laggy when compared to other recent Mechwarrior titles, turning rates / circles are pretty much all the same regardless a what class of mech you're piloting, weapon systems are more inline with MechCommander stats the actual Mechwarrior stats. No targeted zoom, so trying for long range LRMs guidance lock is near impossible.
Looks like I'll be sticking to MechWarrior 4 for when I'm after my MechWarrior fix.

Beautifully artistic and engaging while not overly complex, only downside is that the game hasn't any real replayability to it.

Solo play review.

A good entry into the Lego game collection, heaps of in-game content with lots to do. Good challenge difficulty, both in the actual levels and in the open-world challenges, and heaps of hidden things that will keep you exploring for hours if you're after that elusive 100% completion.

The only downsides are the price (when compared to other Lego games) and that recurring stable issue that is common with all the Lego games.

Bare bones Lego game, with very little in the way of in-game content or DLC (only DLC is a single and highly buggy cosmetics pack).

It's an "ok" game, but just barely. Level design is ok, but also un-challenging when compared to other Lego games.

Lego: The Incredibles is little more the a marketing/promotion exercise by Disney/Pixar, and is littered with undisguised promo drops throughout the game.

If you must have this game, buy it when its on sale.
