I've been playing this game since I was 12 years old back when the Conquerors was released and it's amazing how the game has grown since then with the devs still working on it and the community still being very much alive. I will say that AoE II has been a big part of my life and even got me into history which I eventually studied in college. The amount of love the devs have put into this iteration of the game shows with how polished it is and its continuous updates. Even though AoE IV is on the horizon I do hope that they continue to support this game and add even more content since there's still a bit more they can add to the game in my opinion like more Native American civs or ethnic variety for units. Suffice to say I will be playing AoE II for quite some time even after AoE IV is released.
