This game is probably up in my top 10 favorite games of the last few years. The game is well developed and provides not only countless hours of gameplay but stunning visuals, music and art.
EU4 is a very historically dynamic game engine that provides everything from small provincial revolts to large imperical wars, a very interesting trade system where developing trade infrastructure within your own country is just as important as ruling the waves around your controlled trade nodes, the diplomacy system is also very complex in terms of choices but extremely simple to maneuver and make decisions from.
The learning curve to this game is very small, 10 minutes of gameplay and you'll get the hang of it.
There are also 100's if not 1000's of mods on the Steam workshop which add to the gameplay experience and add many more hours of interesting and more challenging game scenarios.
This is one of the few games on the market that I am happy to give a 10/10; this is not only for the reasons mentioned above but glitches and bugs are pretty much non-existent with this game; allowing for steady and smooth gameplay, not hours of file fixing.
I would also recommend buying the DLC packages as they do extremely enhance the gameplay and provide more options in the GUI, ultimately resulting in less streamlined gameplay and a more dynamic experience.
I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings, Victoria or generally any kind of analytical, options based game as this title will not disappoint.
