Early Access Review
This game is truly a gem, one which has taken a long while to get to where it is, yet it is still being worked on! And the full release will hopefully be something which blows up the game's popularity! 9 years of development is a long time, however, it is by a small team who are really passionate. And that shows! I have barely ran into any bugs.

NO GAME LIKE ANY OTHER
-----------------------------
Simply an accurate statement by the developer, as most games with physics are merely to fool around in. While in Exanima you feel how a swing gets more powerful by swinging your entire body around for additional momentum, yet exposes your own back upon missing! Success rewards you, failure punishes you. While that in itself is scary, it is not an issue, as there is a mode to get a good grasp of the combat of Exanima in.

PRACTICE MODE
------------------
The very first mode to cover, with two difficulties.

I'd highly recommend all new players to keep doing this one until you get a good grasp of the combat, I am by no means very good at the combat even after both difficulties.

ARENA MODE
---------------
You make a Company, where you hire NPCs or make your own. The ones you create on your own, you get to control in the matches. You need to earn your keep for your Company, as it costs money to keep people hired, be it fighters, trainers, merchants. The trainers helps your fighters to skill up faster, while your merchants adds an additional shop you can buy goodies in to equip the fighters with.

STORY MODE
---------------
The Lore of the game is slowly and steadily being uncovered throughout the game, through scrolls, books and small interactions with NPCs(The only one I have met.. who doesn't want to shove their fist or weapon into my face).

You at first start by an unknown class, who is in my opinion the best option as the other classes cannot use the magic system of the game. You can, however, unlock other classes as you progress in the game. By finding things throughout your play through.

Being curious and thinking about what you can do with your surroundings can be -really- rewarding, or even punishing at times! As there are some chests hidden under objects on the map, or secret passageways to be found through cleverly exploring the game as you go along it.

Death is not a punishment, merely a new start!

WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THIS GAME?
--------------------------------------------
It is a cheap game, with some truly beautiful graphics and aesthetics as you dungeon crawl for hours on end. The combat at first was so terribly frustrating until I got a grasp of how it works, however, as you keep playing and start to understand how it works, you start to feel the enjoyment of landing a hard blow right into the head of your foe.
