Still one of the greatest games in one of greatest series that I've had the pleasure of playing!

Early Access Review
Do you like chill? Do you like ambiance? Do you like disappearing into a deeply satisfying puzzle without realizing that you will agonize over every possible rotation combination until you wake up to realize a month has passed and you've accidentally shut down your 99 tile field formation a single drop short of a nearly unattainable quest by chasing a meaningless railroad quest turn that you'll probably never connect anyway? Do you like peaceful beauty? Did I mention chill?

Hands down, my surprise game of the year. A roguelike steeped in Greek mythology, I've yet to encounter a game with a better respawn explanation/execution. Replayability rating is unbelievably high. Great voice acting cast. Beautiful graphics and a slapping soundtrack round out this amazing game.

We Were Here offers a solidly built set of puzzles drenched in so much atmosphere. This isn't a run of the mill, laid back experience, though. A sense of foreboding rises as the puzzles get more intense and there are legitimately scary moments {I'm looking at you shadow marionette}. Wonderful sound direction heightens the dread room after room as you and your unseen partner attempt to define the rules of engagement. 10/10 Highly recommended.

Don't sleep on this game. Subtle, beautiful, relaxing, infuriatingly strategic.

Reviewing OtWD is complicated. I really enjoy the mechanics of the game. The graphics are great. The gameplay itself feels pretty natural. The complications come from the lack of any real single player or adaptive difficulty.

You. Cannot. Play. Solo. Maybe you can after you've farmed and leveled an obscene amount, but why would you then go back? As far as I can tell, you're not getting any extra boons for it.

This game is a lot of fun, but pretty exclusively when you're rolling at least 3 deep so that some rando pug doesn't come in and completely screw up your mission.

7/10 playing with friends
5/10 without

For serious. This game is unbelievably under rated.

It's a tall order, but I would put Atlas Reactor at the top of my list for 2016 Breakout Game of the Year.
