First of all, I loved the 90's Build engines games (Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior, Blood) and the Doom/Heretic/Hexen games from before. I had a high expectations for this game after the first trailer. And boy, this game doesn't disappoint me.
Ion Fury is an awesome game. I don't recall when I enjoyed a game this much in this year. This game got it all, brilliant level design, a badass protagonist, hilarious one-liners ("Imagine the future, because you're not in it :D) with a very convincing voice actor, very good music (not my style, but fits perfectly for the game) and the feeling like I was playing back in the 90's. The diversity of the weapons are nice. I don't needed to use them all, but I wanted to (and I did it) because it was fun. Never felt this good sneaking in air vents since the christmas movie Die hard :) Duke Nukem Forever should been like this game. And it's only 91 Mb!!!! I freaking enjoyed every minute of this game (okay, the last two levels was a little bit of a pain in the ass on maximum fury difficulty) and I hoping to play games like this more.

For me Ion Fury is the game of the year.
