It's fun, that's the number one thing. It's a bit "Diablo-lite" but that's not a mark against it. Self-contained enough so you're not worrying about DLC, about the "community" or "fandom" or even the corporate IP so much. Pick it up, play it, put it down when you're done. Repeat. My only gripe is about inventory management because there's just so much dang stuff.

This is a nostalgic and fun little Metroidvania. It feels good to knock some rust off the old SNES-style skills.

You can still die of dysentery

I've played the game a lot more on XBox, so my time on Steam doesn't reflect it. It's strange, but a pretty awesome combination of Zelda, Secret of Mana, Landstalker (if you remember that one!) Crystalis, and inspired by a little by Firefly? The music certainly makes it seem so.
