Played this game about a few years ago, put money in it and all, played a while, thought "this is an ok game, I could possibly come back to it later" and didn't play it for probably a couple years. Decided I wanted to try playing it, again....I can't...it takes me to a launch screen where it asks that I put in my account and password, so I do so, then it tells me to put in a verification code that it sent to my email, I put that in, then back to account, do it again, and then back to the verification code and then back to account, then verification code, then account, then verification, THEN ACCOUNT, THEN VERIFICATION! I'm sure it's a great game, and I'd love to play it again some time, but it's literally impossible. I guess parta' the problem is my previous email account got hacked and Elite Dangerous remembers that account, but I made a new account...which it won't allow for some reason, I even linked my steam to the new account, and it still won't let me through, I even tried putting in my product key that steam supplied me, and it tells me it's already been used. Can't play the game, and since there's been years between now and then, and I lost my previous email address to a hacker, I can't get my money back.

You open a ticket, put your contact details, then down the bottom in issue details explain the problem as best as you can. Customer support will try to fix it up for you. Good luck.

Also, I might not understand well, am I supposed to leave a ticket? Is it supposed to take me back to a log-in screen? What am I supposed to do with this? I found something that sounds pretty close enough to my problem, and I don't know what i'm supposed to do.

I don't sound too much like a dick do I? I just get very irritated when shit doesn't work like it should, and I'm frustrated I paid money for this game, wanted to play it again about 2 years or so later and it won't allow me too even though I do everything it tells me over and over and over again. I don't even remember ever getting a message that tells me that I don't have this game. You'd think the fact I'm launching this game through steam, which has the product code with it even would be proof enough to allow me access to the game, access by the way it never told me I didn't have.

I don't know the exact menu option for your issue, but pick something close and open a ticket. These champs will sort it out one way or another.
