Updated review after launch and then again after a lot of thought.

I have not played this game in a long time, and when I spent some time reading the other negative reviews, I finally understand why.

Others have pointed it out much better than I ever will but in the end, there are a lot of strange and flawed design decisions that ruins the experience for me.

My longest game ended when my town was attacked. I had to make a choice. Either go in and fight or ignore it and lose a lot of progress since "buildings would get damaged".

So I went in. And, as usual, I didn't know what to expect. Problem was that I had no way of winning the dungeon with my party and I died at the boss. So, I lost a lot of progress since death means grinding for new characters in this game. And I quit the game and never picked it up again.

Someone before me pointed out how few people have the Finished the Game-achievement. This is not a good thing, if it's because you got bored, not because of the RNG or difficulty, but of the repetitive and grindy gameplay.

Visually and sound-wise, this is an awesome game. But it's not enough.
