Is the game rough around the edges? Yes.
Should you support a new developer? Also yes.
This is a game that is made by someone completely new to the game building world.

What does it need?
Hit boxes need work.
Attack timings are off.
No music.
Levels don't have any real progression and when they end, it's abrupt.
Movement glitches once in a while.
Would love to see more variance in attacks and movements. As it is now, feels like cardboard cutouts.


Even with all this and I'm sure I forgot some stuff, I still say support creators when you can.
This creator does updates and is consistently making improvements. Submit bug reports or make some suggestions and you will see a response faster than most AAA studios.
I'm curious to see what this game can become.
I already bought 3 copies.

Would you like to know why the game is free now? It's to stop people from sharing the DLC through Family share. If you "own" the game, you can't play someone else's copy. It's a good game but the dev's practices are greasy at best.

Sometimes it's just better to just play it, trust me.

Trust me... Just get this if you like stratagy. If it's on sale? Run with it.

This game could be great but with how it runs with all the lag no matter what you do, I can't say get this yet. There have been threads saying they are working on it but that was a fair bit ago. I hope it is just taking longer than they thought it would take and havn't abandond it because the previous game was great and this seems improved for the most part.

If the game ran smoother I would give it a thumbs up. if the game changes, so will my review... and I really want that.

Edit, Things have been improved and I feel this game has been improved enough for me to stand by it strongly. It still feels like it need work on optimization but is now playable.

Is it worth it? yes. Even off sale.

This, this is how you make a game with good story, challenging mechanics, great ambiance, and Amazing views. Yes it only took me about 2 hours to finish it but those 2 hours? Filled with enjoyment. If you are unsure about this game and thinking of waiting for a sale, Don't even bother. It's worth it's full price. Trust me.

P.S. Rope poles are your best friend.

This is something great. so much to do and I havnt even left the starter planet yet. I would say its worth the price in the purest sense... JUST BUY IT!!!

By the way, These guys still do updates and take reviews and ideas into consideration. No signs of slowing down.

Personaly I love this game so far, its a bit buggy yes but what would you expect from something so big.

So far the building mechanics are awsome and combat has improved. These guys even took weapons from the previous games and just remade them as a compleatly new beast, like the gateling laser, does not look like a minigun. Loooks more like a giant two handed spining gauss cannon.

tho this game will require an update soon it still is a great play and the developers should be proud. this is an AAA game worth its price, a little rare now a days. Looking forward to seeing the DLC because im sure it will be amazing.

I must say that this is the survial game that i would recomend most. Its the best I have ever played. It has its wildlife for hunting its preditores that hunt you ( preditores hunt wildlife to).

This is not to be compared to minecraft or any of the other survival games at that. The game tho its not at version 1 yet is extreamly enjoyable.

The developers work with the community to improve the game, there are updates not all the time but when needed. Updates have been placed within 24 hours of previous updates to fix bugs and to add a few small things.

The one thing I myself really enjoy is that when you pick a map in sandbox you can still travel to the other maps you just need to... well travel. This is a game that i have enjoyed a plan to enjoy in the future.

There is no story mode quite yet but the sandbox is amazing.

This is a game i have played since it first came out and im still with it. This game has been amazing and improved so much with all of the updates, The games art style is dark yet plesent, something you would expect to see in an old steampunk kind of movie and the gameplay is very dificult but it is all worth you hard earned cash. Give it a shot and place a review, im sure you will be exedingly pleased with you new purchase.
